A Broader Look at Christian, Jewish and Muslim Rights in the Middle East.
The first question is, Whose land is it. The Bible says, “The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof.” Since it’s God’s land, the UN cannot say who is to live there. We look at the biblical record to understand God’s intent.
Genesis 15 says that from the river of Egypt to the Euphrates River, the land was given for Abraham’s seed. This includes Christians because “If you are Christ’s, you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise,” Galatians 3:29.
At a quick look, this suggests that Christians, Jews and Muslims all have a right to that land, but there are other considerations. Moses wrote that the land would spew them out for failure to keep the covenant and laws that they accepted (at the end of Deuteronomy after he repeated the law).
But subsequent prophets to Israel were persecuted for centuries until Y’shua said, “ think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham” Matthew 3:9. He was saying that blood lines do not make children of Abraham.
About 90% of Jews in Israel have no interest in their spiritual heritage and another 8% hate Christians, but this is a violation of Moses who said, “You shall not hate your brother in your heart.” Lev 19:17.
1967 celebrate the UN’s gift of land to Israel, but that’s the ‘beast’ system and was premature according to the Bible because God said four times in Lev 26:18,21,24,28 that He would punish Israel 7 times over if they walked contrary to Him and Ezekiel 4:5,6 shows they did so for 390 years. 7 x 390 = 2730 years that began at the Assyrian Captivity in 722 BC. The math is easy. 2730 – 722 = 2008 (but no year zero, it’s 2009 before aliyah was legitimate.
But in May, 2009, Pope Benedict went to Jerusalem, fulfilling the sign to flee as Y’shua said. It was “the abomination …standing where it ought not,” (Mark 13:14) like the early believers who fled when they saw Rome come in 66 AD and were spared the siege by Titus. Those who don’t flee will face calamity, Zech 14:1,2.
The “Great Sign of Revelation 12” with a pregnancy period points to next spring for a huge event. God called Israel His “first-born” in Exodus 4:22. “First-born” implies another event and Paul included the Exodus in “all those things happened to them for examples…ends of the world.” 1Cor 10:1,11.
That which disqualifies Jews who have no interest in Scripture or who hate their brother also disqualifies militant Muslims who wish to kill infidels. Y’shua said “if you hate your brother, you have committed murder in your heart.”
How this will play out is not clear, but Christians should have a keein interest in that land for two reasons.
#1. Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel all foretold a return to the land. Jeremiah and Ezekiel link the return to having God’s law written in our hearts—the New Covenant Promise. Without this, western Christians who think they are right with many goods, are described as “wetched, miserable, poor, blind and naked.” Rev 3:17. They are not ready to meet Christ or be part of His kingdom when He comes.
#2. Before He comes at the end of seven years “tribulation,” the UN beast system will force false worship on everyone as seen in Rev 13:14-16. But God will defend His covenant-keeping people as He said in Exodus 34:10,11. This means that the land of the covenant will be the only safe place to be to avoid the plagues promised for those who accept a UN-compelled false worship, Rev 14:9,10.
