Parents Should Not Impose Their Decision on Child

The voice of parents is the voice of gods, for to their children they are heaven's lieutenants- William Shakespeare. The relationship between parent and child is important because it preserves the safety and provides the nourishment. The term parents only related to father and the mother who is linked with the child by blood. Both parents nurture their child in important ways which is noteworthy to the development and the well being of the child. Scheduling parenting is quite difficult because there are lots of households work to perform but the communication is also important to promote interest in the children.

The guidelines from the parents for the child are necessary because it gives them to idea to fight with any odd situation. These guidelines are also based upon the developmental stages of children. Parents work hard because they have lots of mouth to feed and fulfill the basic needs. They try their best to give their child like what they want and never reject their wishes. One more important thing about the parents who have sound knowledge about good parenting skill, they behave as a child’s friend. They behave as their kid’s friend so that they can get into the child’s shoes and think in their manner. This will enable the parents to understand the psychology of the kids well and will strengthen the relationship.

Parents are supposed to give a right guidance to their children, they should provide them with the option for the solution of any query but they should not impose their decision. Mostly the parents and the child decision clash when it comes to admission of the kids. After the matriculation child always get confused what stream they should opt or in which stream they can do better. Child really needs parental support apart from the good scores. Parents should guide them but they should not force their child to go with their decision.

Ultimately a child has to take the decision because they know their capability and how well they can perform in particular area. When I was in school, I was also facing the same situation when I completed my matriculation. I had interest in commerce stream but my parents forced me to take science stream (including bio and math’s). Unwillingly I took science because of the pressure from my parent’s side. I was very upset but I tried to do my best but I couldn’t get through my exam and I remained in the same class XIth standard.

The physics numerical were going right above my head and nothing was clear as my all time was spent in the tuitions because there was separate tutor for different subjects. So, I didn’t get time for my self studies. By looking into my condition my parents again admitted me in commerce stream in the same class. When parents feel strongly about their children’s career and get obsessed to a point that it leads to danger signal, especially if children start avoiding discussions about their admission. If parents force their decision on their child, which goes against the teacher’s advice or aptitude test results, then it is wrong. They should remember that in the end the child will suffer.
