It doesn’t matter how old you are, or when you start a new tradition. The important thing is that you start it. Some things are passed down from a long time ago. It could be a personal item, a story, a ceremony, or a family event, to name a few. For some people it is merely the way something is done. This could be farming techniques, it could be the preparation of food, or it could also be a lesson taught.
Let’s take for an example, holiday’s. There certainly is the special way that the food is prepared. The decorations that go along with the holiday are always memorable. Any special manner of which to dress is always fun to learn and proudly worn. If there are any kind of intricacy’s, such as beading, or special dye’s that are needed for the fabric, you will learn from the best, from generations gone by.
The reaso
I brought up the subject of tradition is because I want to bring awareness to it. I want people to realize that a lot of the things that they do, or the places they go, what attracts them to it is, the traditions that were kept alive. Time withstanding, it might have been transported over distant lands. The lessons learned have traveled over the mass of water, over the rough terrains. A special knowledge that was given to you to bring forth, so future generations can learn.
What will your legacy be? What will you start today that will be carried on from this generation to the next? On the next holiday, take notice of how you are contributing to carrying on that tradition so that it can be passed on.
