Patience Is a Virtue

Patience is something I never thought I would have, but now with motherhood I realize that just maybe patience has been there all along and I just never saw it or drew upon it. As a child I can remember my parents often reminding me to be patient, to wait, to be considerate while another has his turn, and to trust my turn will be soon enough. They were right is so many ways that it is sometimes difficult to comprehend.
I have listened to Caroline Myss’s work for numerous years, and the one perspective and belief of hers which continues to stick in my head is the one regarding weight versus wait. Myss in a very general way holds the belief that our body weight has something to do with our ability to wait or not be able to wait. When we are waiting for something to happen and we carry worry or stress associated with the outcome, then our physical being begins to put on weight to support our grounding and stationery thought perspective. Using her work, I have used the intention of releasing the physical weight which may be associated with my waiting while working to manifest goals or desires. This is where patience comes in. While we are waiting for the universe to provide opportunity, we must also be taking action to support our desire.
You are doing that, right? Taking action while you are waiting? The Universe loves to provide more to you when you are in action and making things happen for yourself versus when you are inactive.
Taking action doesn’t mean we are not being patient or are trying to force an issue; rather, it demonstrates our readiness and our ability to be embracing new energy which we believe is supportive of our forward movement. It is when we are inactive that the Universe pulls backs as if it is waiting for cues from us that demonstrate we can handle the new energy or higher frequency of our lives when what we are waiting for appears.
Today, a proof of why patience is a virtue and my action of following through with my own forward growth is reinforced. Funds which I had released to the Universe began to flow as I have begun receiving payment against an old debt. These funds are a gift, and I am grateful for my patience; my waiting while in action has proven to even further support my life’s purpose and journey.
With gratitude, have an amazing day and embrace your inner wisdom!
Namaste,
Karen
