Since there are more travellers now than ever, it makes sense to learn from them about designing a travel trip. One should learn the methods professional travellers use to travel 8 months a year. Independently designed trips are cheaper and usually offer a fuller experience. It is not as difficult or stressful as one imagines. There can be a hundred steps to planning a trip to perfection, but getting too entangled in preparation dulls the experience. The most basic steps can be summed up in 5 points to be carried out in order, but not adhered to strictly. The initial stage of planning is confusing. The place is decided, but where to go first and where to end is a hard decision. Once you are past that, start to plan the trip like this: 1.Book a convenient flight Convenience covers location, timing and the price of a flight. Once fixed upon the destination, follow these ways to not only get better, but also cheaper flights. When travelling, staying economic is must. Try and be pliable with dates as booking a flight scheduled for a week day can significantly reduce costs. Be sure of your dates and book around a month before flying to find cheaper flights opposed to booking a week in prior. Compare the rates on different websites. BookMyTicket is a personal favourite, but there are others too. Comparing can help save money. Clear your browsing history if you have searched for the same flights multiple times. This sometimes displays cheaper fares. 2.Map out an itinerary People usually book hotels before adequate research. Booking a hotel in Paris that is far from the best attractions is futile. Instead, look up attractions around each stop and book a hotel accordingly. Use the maps to make a route of your journey i.e. which place first and which after that noted with dates. A solid schedule won't let you digress from whats planned. Once you have decided your route, look for things to do around your hotel. Time may not permit you to visit everything, but knowing the best ones saves time. After this, the blue prints start to take shape. 3.Find a hotel Look for cheap but well located hotels, close to attractions you want to visit. A tour operator may help you effectively. Refer to the dates you jotted down when planning the route. It's not necessary to book hotels before setting off. Book hotels on the spot if its a nomadic trip; or find a way around hotel business altogether. Couch surfing is a popular method for economic stay and builds relationships. However, this usually works with solo travellers. 4.What suits the suitcase First, learn about what you need. Sweaters on your trip to South Africa during the summers is preposterous. Research about the weather and climate, but don't forget the culture! Its okay to stand out in fashion but not so much as to get you in trouble. Bring only what is necessary! The lesser your luggage, the more fun you have. Minimize your toiletries and store them in a smaller bag (along with medications if any). A few pant and shirts is all you need. Leave some space if possible so that you can fit in souvenirs. 5.Document regularly This isn't mandatory but helps you immensely. Not only do you get to look back at those memories, it helps you plan your next trip too by letting you instantly figure out what went wrong the last time. Documenting can be rigorous if you are a blogger or a vlogger but it can also be as simple as uploading Facebook picture. Do what you think is best. With that, this little guide ends. Even though commonly known, some tips here may help a traveller and save him a lot of time and money. However, it's okay to turndown the advises to suit your own style. You are free to book tour package if you hate planning. Freedom is the beauty of travelling after all.
