Tummy tuck is an operation which is done to remove extra fat and skin from the abdominal area.There are some conditions because of which some people can have excess fat and weak muscles in the abdominal area like pregnancy,significant fluctuations in weight or a prior surgery.
There are two types of abdominoplasty.nn * Partial abdominoplasty.nn * Complete abdominoplasty.
Partial abdominoplasty or mini tummy tuck is performed in the people who want to remove extra fat from the lower abdomen.This type of operation is less invasive and the recovery period is shorter as compared to complete abdominoplasty.Complete abdominoplasty or tummy tuck is performed in the people who need intervention in the area above the navel in addition to lower abdomen.
Tummy tuck is performed in three easy steps.The first step is anesthesia which is followed by incision which is made in between the navel and pubic hair line.The second incision is made around the belly button.Extra fat and skin is removed through these two incisions and muscles are repaired and tightened.The recovery period of the operation is short and no post operative complications are seen.Post surgical scars disappear in few weeks.Results of the surgery are not seen in first few days as it is not possible to stand straight in the beginning.As the time passes you can see your firm and toned abdomen.
There are some things which should be taken in account before taking decision of surgery.Person who want to undergo abdominoplasty should not be a smoker.You should not have history of diseases like diabetes,circulation disorders and lung disorders.
