Post Workout Recovery Will Get You From Slim To Muscular
Written by James Mclain
Ever observe that guy who is at the gym daily red faced and grunting, sweating and perhaps with a friend yelling slogans at him as his veins threaten to pop? Well I did, his name was Dan and I don't think he believed in Post workout recovery. I recall him because his gym obsession did give him a decent body eventually but he spent, A great deal time there that he flunked out of college! I would not allow something bad like that to happen to me. It is always good to have balance in all the things you do. If spending too much time on one thing causes you to have bad results in another, then it is not good for you.
Meanwhile I spent a fraction of the time there because I followed some great suggestions and studied by biology textbook to understand exactly how muscle develops. In fact in the same time period I filled out a seriously skinny body with an embarrassing pot belly to something that was strong lean and muscular he only gained a little bit of weight and definition. It turned out that I gained more benefits from my routine than he did from his. I got more of what I want by doing just half the effort that Dan did.
The bottom line is that you build muscle tissue when you rest not when you workout. The workout just activates the muscle growth by causing enough stress to the muscles the body mends the tissue and overcompensates by making more muscle to make you more robust. So never undermine the importance of rest. It is really needed by your body in order to improve in the right way. Always put in mind that an excessive amount of something can also have harmful effects on your body.
So while Dan was chowing down on the newest supplement fad and exercising hard every night I was kicking up my heels and having a good nights sleep to ensure my body had the time and energy to spend on the fundamental muscle growth processes that would not occur if I continued to work on fatigued and stressed muscles that were already Set and WAITING to grow! So don't be like Dan, work out smart with great post workout recovery and you will be toned sooner than you can believe! Do not ever forget that our bodies do not need to be slaved in order to get the results we want.
Recovery of course is not the whole thing, diet not to mention the all important actual workouts must all be designed for hard gainers like you to accomplish greatest results and maximum muscle! If you would like learn how to do all of this and get the body you want click below to find the key behind skinny body building.
