Predicing the Superbowl Winner from the Bible?
Legacy signals

Patriotism is a good thing, and we might think the New England Patriots would win the Superbowl—their odds for winning from Vegas are about 5 to 1. Nevertheless, the Philadelphia Eagles have an edge from the Bible. Whether they win or not, we can be winners to understand this biblical message.
The US has just celebrated 45 years of Roe v Wade, a sad history of 60 million abortions that make the US worse tha
Egypt which also killed babies, and they enslaved Israel.
The US has enslaved most people in alcohol, tobacco and drugs—Rx drugs being a leading cause of illness and death but we call it healthcare. People are in bondage to food, fashion, fiction, gambling, movies, music, sex, perversion, pornography, TV, violence and violent 'music.'
The US Supreme Court approved homosexuality, something the Bible calls an abomination that will cause the land to vomit us out, Leviticus 18:22,25. In a cultural where anything goes, how can God bless what He cursed? Is He bound by slogans like “God Bless America”? Probably not, and being patriotic won't alter the outcome.
When the appointed time came for Egypt, God executed judgment and took Israel to a covenant at Sinai where He said, “I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself. Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine, and ye shall be unto me a kingdom.” Exodus 19:4-6.
This first reference to eagles may be kept in mind to consider the larger picture when other passages are read. For example: “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew theirstrength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31,
Philadelphia is also mentioned in Revelation 3 where nothing bad is said about it. The word means brotherly love and those have have this characteristic will care about others enough to share them how we can have the eagle experience, whether or not the Philadelphia Eagles win.
Calling themselve the Philadelphia Eagles does not make them God's team anymore than calling ourselves Christians makes us so. Christ warned that “Many will say, I did many wonderful works in your name,” but He will say, “I never knew you.” Matthew 7:22. The Greek word for know is ginosko, a reference to marital or covenant relationship. Getting to a covenant will be important for end-times.
