Happy Veterans Day everybody. I would like to give a shout out to everybody who is serving in the military, and especially overseas, get back home safe guys! So I have been hearing from a lot of people that they need help big when it comes to the search engine optimization department. Well try not to get bogged down by all the different things that this particular word implies. Just think of it as taking a website and streamlining it for maximum results. Now this can include everything from URL‘s, keywords, articles, hyperlink text, meta descriptions, backlinks, plugins, pretty much everything dealing with a site. However, try not to get overwhelmed. After 5 years in this business I have realized one thing with a few exception like plugins, it all boils down to proper keywords. Keywords describe and explain what type of site you have to both the search engines who index it for you, and of course your customers. Master keywords research and you will conquer SEO.

Your one main goal is to find keywords that perfectly describe your site, with two stipulations, they must have a high amount of global searched each month, and low competition, meaning no body else is using them. Now you might be saying, yeah right I’ll never find that, the internet has been public now for almost 20 years, all the good phrases are gone. Well I say not true! Just less then 2 months ago I found a keyword phrase for my new squeeze page. I was looking for a URL name that perfectly described my Affiliate Shortcut e-book I was giving away in a squeeze page site I was putting together. Well after only about 2 hours of searching back in forth betwee
Google’s Keyword Tool and checking availability on GoDaddy I found one that was perfect and I could not believe that statistics for it. The name was Howtodothemarkting.com

The phrase has over 200,000 global searches per month, and it was not taken!!! Plus it had low competition, unbelievable, but it happens. Now in less then 60 days with a lot of article marketing and promoting the video on the page I’m on page one! Need less to say my email list is growing by leaps and bounds. Now I’m not telling you this to brag, but to show you that not all the great keyword phrases are taken. To do proper SEO you must put together a good list of highly searched for and hardly used keyword phrases. No less then 10,000 searches per month. If you are putting a new site together, try and make you URL the best call to action type phrase. With excellent keyword research your SEO will fall into line. This includes the meta description, URL’s, articles, hyperlink texts, etc. So do not stress out over SEO, just do good keyword research and you will be all set.
