Yes, indeed, pure water is our lifeline. We all need hydration and as I mentioned in part one, nothing is better than ice cold water on a hot day. I can still remember my grandmother when she looked forward to a refreshing glass of water with lots of ice. She claimed it was better than any soda or other refreshing drink, especially when one is truly thirsty!
Well, water is certainly more than just a desirable liquid to quench one’s thirst. It has a number of benefits, such as helping one’s skin to function properly. Our skin is just like other organs of our body, such as having cells. Skin cells are like any other organ cells which need water.
Water is essential to maintain the optimum skin moisture and deliver essential nutrients to the skin cells. It replenishes the tissue of skin and helps to increase its elasticity. Also, which great for older women and men, like my mother and father, consuming water helps to delay the appearance of signs of aging like wrinkles and fine lines.
Water is the perfect replacement for one’s expensive anti-aging treatments. It keeps the skin well hydrated and glistening, thereby, enhancing the complexion. For soft and supple skin, drinking an adequate amount of water is more important than applying topical creams.
Drinking enough water combats skin disorders like psoriasis, wrinkles and eczema. It also increases the metabolic rate and improves the digestive system to flush out toxins from one’s body. Of course, this helps one to have a healthy and glowing skin.
Now, another important technique and must-for-anyone is to have a nice cold shower or a relaxing bath to calm one's nerves and to reduce stress-related damage to one’s skin. My grandmother would always talk about diving into cold water when she was a young girl growing up in Canada. She said it was an instant relief for any stress one might be dealing with. So, I’ve used that technique, except not in Canada, since I live in the United States. There are a few, natural fresh-water pools near where I live and believe me, the water is cold, but so refreshing!
Now, one doesn’t have to jump in cold water to enjoy some of its benefits! A cold, water compress can also help to reduce under-eye inflammation. As the water evaporates from the skin, the surface becomes cooler. Splashing cold, water on the eyes can also reduce eye puffiness.
In early times, primarily in Eastern Europe, people would visit bathhouses to detoxify and tighten the skin. The process involved a steam-room session, followed by a cool water plunge to tighten the skin.
Well, despite the benefits from jumping in cold water, just like my grandmother, there’s nothing better than drinking cold ice water on a hot day!

A Time is Coming
Why would Yeshua, who said; "Yet a time is coming and has now come when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth" place any importance at all on ‘inheriting the earth?' Didn’t he tell us to store up our treasures in heaven and not in the earth because in heaven, moth and rust do not corrupt?
