If you generate content on a daily or weekly basis, it can be quite time consuming, especially if you are only creating it for one purpose and in only one format. If you are writing blog or an article for your ezine, and not using that content anywhere else, you aren’t leveraging your content or your expertise.
As a business owner, you are busy enough trying to get everything you need to do to run a successful business, so do you really want to be spending all that time coming up with new content for everything you do? Wouldn’t you rather create one and maximize it as much as possible?
It’s time to leverage your time and your expertise.
How can you do that? You can do that by repurposing your content into different formats. This is how to get your information out in front of a larger audience, build your list and your reputation.
We all know that the more content you get out, the more visibility you get and the more you will be perceived as the expert in your niche.
Here are some quick tips to help you repurpose your content:
1. Ebooks / Special Reports. You can get some great articles and/or blogs out of these. If you have chapters or sections, you can use these as your starting point to write new ones. Create a new title, add headings, subheadings, bullet points and post. Don’t forget to submit to directories.
2. Switch it around. Have blogs or articles on related topics? Put them together and create an ebook or create a great new opt-in for your website. Add a cover page, table of contents and a call to action.
3. Audio / Video. Transcribe any audio or video that you have. This is a lot of content you can use. You can repurpose a teleseminar at least 10 different ways.
4. Change the format. Have a blog? Record it and post the audio. Submit to other sites. Record as a video and post to YouTube.
5. Programs. You can repurpose programs you have already run to generate passive revenue. Use the handouts, worksheets and outlines to create a new product. Transcribe the audio if you had weekly calls and include as well.
6. Blogs and articles. Create audios or podcasts and have them available to download or submit to various sites including iTunes.
7. Create video. Create a video of your blogs and articles. If you have a series of blogs, create a video series. Upload to YouTube.
These are only some of the ways that you can repurpose your content.
Every time you create something new, always think about other ways that you can repurpose so that you can leverage your time and expertise and get in front of a larger audience.
It’s all about working smarter, not harder.
