Tarot and oracle cards have become very popular over the years and it appears anyone can do it. I mean at the end of the day, you’re only flipping over cards and reading the meanings of them right?! Well my Divine One, it takes a little more than that to receive an accurate message from Spirit and your spirit guides. The first thing is your connection to the Spirit world. You must have a good relationship with the Divine Ones because they are your protection on the other side. Please understand that when you decide to read from a tarot deck or an oracle deck you are reaching out to Spirits. You are inviting them into your space to give you guidance during your reading.

If you don’t have a strong connection with your spirit guides, anything can fool you or deceive you in the spirit world. There are different kinds of entities that surround you every day naturally. Some are lost souls of those who has passed on and still walking the Earth. You have other spirits that are attracted to your energy and just latch on to you whether good or bad. These spirits follow you into your home and if you become part of their energy source they will feed off you and your family. You must be aware of these things before picking up any divination tools.

Before doing a reading, you want to make sure your mind and spirit is balanced. Any emotion can set off the reading of the cards. Stay away from any spiritual work when your energy is low. If you’re depressed or upset, it’s just easier to manipulate you and deceive you because you are not thinking or listening clearly. Once you are balanced, you speak out to your ancestors and spirit guides. Make sure you have knowledge of who you are speaking to as well. If you have any doubts or fears, you should not even attempt to do a reading on yourself.

Now that you are grounded and have called upon your spirit guides for assistance, you begin to shuffle the cards and ask for any answers you need at that time. It’s okay if you don’t have the cards memorized in regards to the tarot. Once you’ve read the meaning of the card, you will know what part of the message pertains to you in your spirit and the other surrounding cards. I suggest you start with an oracle deck which will be easier to understand. You will hear the message in your heart.

If there is a card that needs clarification meaning you’re not sure where its meaning fits into your reading, pull another card for verification. It will help breakdown exactly what it is Spirit is trying to say. If your message doesn’t make sense, it simply may not apply to you now. Some readings tell you what’s to come, so it may not have happened yet. If you feel your reading is completely off, chances are you are not authorized to do readings. This doesn’t mean you can never do a reading; however, your spirit may not be balanced enough to receive the messages Spirit has to offer you now.
