Revival, Reformation And Transformation

In order that the Lord stamps His image upon the Earth as a whole, three processes must happen. The first two are God’s work in the Church, while the third one is God’s work in the world through the Church:nn- Revival: First we must allow the Lord to revive us. Every area that has become dead, inactive, passive, unproductive, apathetic, indifferent, lethargical, etc must be made alive again. The Lord can not work through dead people! Many think they are alive, even whole churches, but in fact they are dead. Just look at the Church in Sardis in Revelation 3:1. We must come back to our first love, we must be active, passionate, on fire for the Lord. We must be hot for Him, filled with His love, joy and faith! We must be activated like never before, ready to conquer the world for Him, through His love and compassion. We must be baptised in the Holy Spirit and in fire! We must be alive, full of energy and spiritual intensity, full of strength and vigor, we must bring back the high spiritual and moral standards of holiness in our life.
- Reformation: Once we are full of fire and passion for the Lord, we are ready to start reforming everything in us and around us – our thought life, our thought patterns, our way of behaviour, our belief system, our everything. We must get rid of the religious spirit at all cost and in every area of our spiritual and natural existence! We must be free to choose God’s will and free to execute it on the Earth. Everything that is not effective enough, is not effective because the form is not being able to contain the new things of the Spirit of God. That’s why, it needs to be re – formed (made into a new form, structure, body). Reformation is for the Church, not for the world! Oh, how we need reformation an all levels!
- Transformation: When we are alive and reformed, we are ready to bring transformation to our whole society. The world does not need a reformation, because it has never functioned in the right form. The world’s form has never been right, then fallen, and then, in need of re- form – ation. No! The world needs a total transformation of its whole structure and life. It needs a complete transplantation of heart – the Lord needs to take out the stony heart and place a heart of flesh. This is a creative process, not a mending one. But that can only happen if first the Lord has worked in His people – the Church – and has completely revived and reformed them, so they can be carriers of His life to a society that’s stone dead in its nature.

We can surely do all this by the Lord’s grace. We can allow Him to revive us, set us on fire for Him, make us passionate for His purposes and destiny, reform us completely, deliver us from all religion, and use us to bring the lost at His feet! Amen!
