Share Ideas of Love and Watch it Grow In You

My earliest memory of “connecting” with Spiritual material was perhaps when I first read Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now. I couldn’t really explain it at the time, but his ideas spoke to something within me. The Spiritual text began to make sense on an experiential level. As I shared in his thoughts, it was as if the ideas took on a life inside. I was activated. The power of these shared ideas subsequently became the catalyst for a spiritual quest.

Like any idea, when it is shared it grows. Something is activated in others and the idea itself appears to expand, never lessened. Viral videos and music are great symbols of how ideas, when shared, can grow and seemingly take on a life of their own. People watch or hear something, they too resonate with the content, and pay it forward –and share. And in the age of Facebook, Twitter and Youtube (to name a few), the means to which ideas are shared is in abundance. Ideas have the ability to gain in strength as instantly as they are given to the world.

Being spiritual aspirants, this is good to know. The laws of shared ideas is a key element to our awakening. The more we share and gather in the idea of truth, the more that truth will experientially reveal itself. The idea of love grows as we demonstrate and share in it. This is a central teaching of A Course In Miracles.

The Course says “The Holy Spirit is the idea of healing. Being thought, the idea gains as it is shared. Being a Call FOR God, it is also the idea OF God. Since you are part of God it is also the idea of yourself, as well as of all his creations.”

In other words, as we share in the idea of Spirit, we actual strengthe OUR awareness of Spirit. Being a symbol of truth (Spirit), it’s a call to truth. And given that Spirit is inclusive of us, is a call to the truth of who we ALL are. When we share in this idea, we share in our truth as Spiritual beings.

The Course reminds me that “The idea of the Holy Spirit shares the property of other ideas because it follows the laws of the universe of which it is a part. It is strengthened by being given away. It increases in you as you give it to your brother.”

From this perspective, my inspiration for sharing anything, A Course In Miracles or Spiritual related, is rooted in my desire to know truth – knowing that as I share it, I’m strengthening the reality of those ideas within me. With that intention in mind, I write, blog and video post about Spirituality on my site. And for the first time, I just started hosting FREE conference call gatherings. These mediums (blogs, videos, tele-gatherings etc) serve as backdrops for deepening the understanding of Course principles and Spiritual practice. The invitation is for others to gather and share in the same idea, and together, we awaken. It is an inspired way of strengthening awareness of OUR Spirit.
