I’ll be honest, I’m always a little skeptical of the latest and greatest trends, especially on social media. So I’m not going to be one of those experts who tells you, “You just HAVE TO get on Periscope!”

Maybe it could be great for you. Maybe not. But I’ve talked to several business owners lately who simply wonder “What is Periscope? What would I even do with it?”

So today, I want to share what Periscope could do for your business, so you’re informed and can make the right call for you.

Here are 5 reasons to get on Periscope:

1. Expand your reach – Periscope is a great way to connect with influencers in your industry. Show up to their broadcasts, ask good questions, and share their broadcasts. You could not only connect with the influencer that way, but also people who follow them who could follow you too.

2. Get feedback on your products and projects – While you’re working on something new, share it with your audience. It’s a great way to build hype about your upcoming launch and also find out what your audience thinks while you still have time to do something about it.

3. Take your audience behind the scenes – Your followers love to know more about you, your story, and what you do. You can show them where you work, more about your expertise, or events or meetings in your industry.

4. Give tutorials or teach something – If you’re tired of blogging, Periscope could be a great alte
ative to give your audience useful information and allow them to get to know you.

5. Live Q & A’s – If you do Q & A calls for any of your programs, you could use Periscope to do them over video and you’d have the ability to show concepts you can currently only talk about.
