The efficient use of the available budget along with a good strategy will take a small business a long way. The marketing plan for a small business should be different from that of the big ones, and it must be designed specially keeping all the opportunities and the limitation s in mind.

Marketing tips for small businesses

Five marketing tips and techniques to help your small business to grow are listed below: • Make plans as per your setup: do not imitate your business marketing plan like a big business. Always make the plans as per your setup and the potential customers. • Use innovative means: use different innovative means of marketing like ads on postcards, leaflets, pamphlets, online marketing, brochures, stickers, buddy marketing, and many others to attract your customers. • Offer different versions of products: there are different categories of customers in the market, which includes the one who goes for cheap products and the one who prefer a premium product. By marketing different version you will be able to target a wider section of the potential customers. • Effective cost cutting: try to do the cost cutting wherever possible. Instead of two big ads, give four small ones which will give better exposure. You may also use a joint marketing plan to send brochures, flyers, etc. You can do this by teaming up with the same type of business or service. This will be quite effective and will have low cost. • Maintain the customer: it is always more expensive to look for new customers than to maintain the old ones. You can maintain your old customers by offering those deals that will keep them coming back. This will also create loyalty toward you, and it will help with the word-of-mouth publicity for the business.

Beside these there are various tips which if taken into consideration can make your small business marketing very effective.
