How do you get help from God, spirit guides,nand your higher-self?
Those of the light on the other side want tonhelp you, but you have to ask. Getting in thenhealthy habit of regularly saying out loud,nperhaps before or even during your regula
meditation, “Spirit guides, masters, teachers,nand helpers of the Light, God, please guide mento the answers I seek about...,” for example, willnopen the door, usher in help from the other sidenand, at the same time, remind you that help isnavailable. Asking for help from the other side or you
higher-self is one thing, but you’ve got to benin the right state of mind to receive thenassistance. The more centered and groundednyou are, the more likely you will hear thosenfaint whisperings in your ear, see the signsnas they subtly appear visually, or receivenhelpful insight through other means.
Yes, we know, it’s not easy to get into thenpractice of meditation, but like many thingsnworthwhile, it demands discipline and npractice. It’s a long-term discipline and nthe more you work at it, the more benefits nyou’ll receive. Even if it’s only for 10 minutesna day, some form of meditation is necessarynto magnify your awareness and deepennyour perspective.
Meditation is ultimately a process ofndetaching from the over-active consciousnmind to a place of stillness and peace. Younknow when your mind is mentally multi-tasking,nperhaps going in 10 directions at once?
That’s the opposite of a good meditativenstate.
A good meditative state for receiving insight nand answers to your questions is like your nmind is on pause while you listen for the nsound of a train in the distance. As an added nbonus, proper meditation releases feel-good, nnatural opiates from your brain.

If you’re having trouble getting into a goodnmeditative state, close your eyes and focusnon the middle of your chest. If you find you
mind drifting away from this point of focus,nslowly start counting and imagine drawingnthe numbers on your chest plate.

atively, close your eyes and directnthem up to your third eye area betweennyour eyebrows. Without straining you
eyes, keep them focused there, as it willnhelp to induce an altered state.
If you tend to fall asleep during meditation, nkeep your eyes open and focus on the flame nof a candle while counting from 1 to 100.
Once you reach 100, begin again. Do this nuntil you feel peace and calmness washing nover you.
Remember, it takes practice. The old joken“I tried meditating, but nothing happened,” nmight seem applicable, but know that younwill reach an altered state in time. By thenway, “nothing happened” is the objective inngood meditation; you are so blissfullyncentered and detached from mind chatter,nand enjoying a feel-good state, that there isnroom for divine guidance to appear at thendoorstep of your mind.
