Many people across the world are each day taking to blogging. Blogging has grown from a part time engagement as a hobby, to a more powerful resource, used by millions across the globe for various reasons. Because of this, there is a lot of competition out there and small business owners need to start business blogging now and do it consistently.
Have you ever wondered why your blog is not doing as well as your competitors? Ever wondered why your website traffic does not increase, despite all the SEO and so forth? Well, the answer may be as simple as consistency.
There are many reasons and pre-determining factors as to whether or not, your blog will be successful. This includes factors such as:
Niche selectionr
Marketing
Contentr
Blog designr
Consistent blog postsr
All of these factors separate who is going to lead the pack and who is going to lag behind. For those who seek to remain at the top of their niche, they will have to get the right combination of all of these factors... particularly blogging consistently.
Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that consistent blog posts are more important than the other items listed above (quality content is always king!). I just believe it could be the defining factor in building relationships with the audience.
Any small business owner with an online presence knows that the golden rule when it comes to Internet marketing is having great, high quality web content that is 100% unique. However, I believe those that include blog posts as part of their content marketing strategy should be reminded periodically that quality content goes hand-in-hand with consistency.
There are several advantages of consistent blog posts which you can take advantage of to grow your small business to remarkable levels. The following are a few of these advantages.
Trust
Consistency develops a psychological form of stability and trustworthiness in your readers/visitors. As a smart entrepreneur, you need this level of trustworthy, more so the "Wikipedia" sort of a look. This is because it fosters a degree of trust in your visitors, as you appear to be knowledgeable and up-to-date with fresh web content about your specific niche which is crucial in any online business. In other words, loyal visitors will trust your knowledge and trust that you will keep them up-to-date.
Interest
With consistency also comes a level of interest, an interest which you can turn into some sort of addiction. This interest breeds loyalty to your site (which was discussed in prior paragraph). This is a plus as it allows you to retain your old visitors while attracting new ones.
Website Traffic
If you do not consistently post blogs, your business may not get the website traffic you had hoped for. Your business could very well slip from your prior visitors' minds or they may even think you have closed down your doors and not visit your website anymore. Blogging consistently will stop that from happening.
As far as how often you should publish your blogs posts, there is no magic formula for this. You could post once a week, twice a week, three times a week or even every other week (I would never recommend going any longer than that). No matter how often you want to publish a blog, you just have to make sure you keep up with the schedule you have put in place. That is what makes you consistent.
As you can see, there are legitimate reasons as to why you need to start blogging consistently. Just remember, you need to post fresh content on a regular basis to continue building relationships with your current visitors and to attract new visitors, which in turn will increase the traffic to your website.
Business blogging consistently is powerful!
