As a business owner, I'm sure that you are aware of the importance of keeping in touch with your customers. Not only is this going to help to bring in repeat business, it will also allow them an opportunity to pass along information from you that may be of benefit to somebody else that needs your services. In any case, businesses have been enjoying the success of regular contact with their customers for many years. Here are some of the ways in which you may keep that contact and how you can expand your reach to a certain extent beyond those that have already taken advantage of your services.

One of the older methods of keeping in contact with your customers is still something that is used today. Mailing your customers regularly can help to bring them into your store once again. Of course, you would want to have a reason for mailing them, such as offering them a coupon or telling them about some type of special events. Keep in mind, mailing your customers through the USPS is one of the more expensive ways of keeping in contact with them but it is still very effective. Do a little bit of testing before you actually blanket your entire list of customers and you will be less likely to spend money unnecessarily.

Email has changed the way that many businesses are contacting the customers that have used their services in the past. If you are able to get the email address of your customers, you have the opportunity to contact them easily and regularly. There are a few things that need to be kept in mind, however, so that you can stay in compliance with current law and not offend your customers in the process. Make sure that you are sending them useful information that soft sells your services. If you give them solid information, it will also help to make any advertisement that you do send more welcome.

Using surveys is also an excellent way for you to stay in contact with your customer. Not only that, it will also give you the opportunity to get inside their mind and to come up with additional products that you may sell to those customers. There are many online survey tools that you can use for this purpose. With the right online survey software, you can set up a survey within minutes and then use your email list to contact your customers and get them started.

One other method that you have of contacting customers is social media, such as Facebook. Having people like you on Facebook is going to allow you to get your message out on a consistent basis. You do need to keep in mind, however, that Facebook is about building relationships, not about sending out advertising messages. If you build relationships with your customers and those who might be interested in what you have to offer, they are going to be very likely to take advantage of your services when they have the need. Use it responsibly and it can really help to push your business to the next level.
