“Staying on Course Towards Enlightenment”

Here are two true stories of people letting go of their prophetic abilities.

Once there was a woman in her twenties and was very into her new life as a wife and a new mother. Then her husband went off to Vietnam. She would worry about him constantly and then she began to have prophetic dreams. She would wake up in the middle of the night usually about 3AM with dreams of being in the jungles of Vietnam. She could hear the helicopters overhead and could feel the unbearable heat in the jungle. And she had many other prophetic dreams that all came true.

Then one night she had a dream she was in the jungle and was shot, and a
helicopter came and rescued her and took her to a hospital for treatment. And the next morning she received notice that her husband was wounded and was receiving treatment at a hospital in Vietnam. And that very same night she became so fearful so decided that she would no longer dream that way again, and from that point on she never had a prophetic dream. Her prophetic abilities left and her path to enlightenment changed drastically.

There is also the story of a woman who was very spiritually connected. She had a spiritual guide who was an old Native American woman who would come to her in visions and dreams. The old woman protected the young lady, and told her what to do when times were hard. Thus the young lady had many prophetic dreams which all came true. And she had a male friend who was very spiritual and loved nature, and he would trek through the mountains all over the world. Then one night the old Native American woman came to the young lady in a dream and told her that her friend was lost and injured while trekking through the mountains of Utah. And thus she decided to go looking for him because she knew exactly where he was. And she did find him and got him down the mountain to a medical facility.

But that experience made her very fearful, and from that day on she never had another prophetic dream. Thus her path to enlightenment changed drastically.
We all have spiritual capabilities that allow us to see into the future with prophetic dreams, visions, and understandings. But when we become fearful of those wonderful gifts disappear and thus our path of enlightenment changes forever.

Fear and love cannot reside in the heart at the same time. But whatever choice we make is exactly what we need.
