Do you believe that there is such a thing as a stretch mark remover? Stretch marks are one of the leading complaints that dermatologists receive from their patients wanting to get rid of them. There are many options in the marketplace, there is laser surgery, Microdermabrasion (a chemical peel), endermologie (massage therapy) or cosmetic surgery if you want to have a professional more expensive approach to this issue.
Then there are creams or lotions that claim to be able to remove these marks from your body. How effective are they? We'll look at that now.
These marks are usually the effect of over stretching your skin and happen to pregnant women, men or women who bulk up too quickly from working out or men and women who gain a large amount of weight.
Stretch marks are lines left behind when skin is overstretched, and fibers in the middle layer (dermis) have broken. They can be ugly to look at which is why so many look for a stretch mark remover.
Here are some simple preventative things you can do;
1. Hydrate - drink a lot of water as it helps your skin to retain its elasticity
2. Creams & Lotions - moisturize your skin
3. Vitamins - help with the elasticity of your skin
4. Proper Diet - Your diet is a critical part of how your skin looks
5. Exercise - helps firm your skin and create overall better health
Several studies have shown that this condition is among the top five causes for insecurity in women. I would imagine that they have a similar impact on men as well. Every person is unique and skin grows at different rates, causing some people to suffer from these ugly marks more severely than others.
These marks are, in reality, scars so many of the products promoted for getting rid of scars also mention effectiveness for this condition as well. Prevention is the key as they are not that easy to get rid of.
The best stretch mark remover really accomplishes the task of diminishing the visibility of the mark rather than the elimination of it completely. You want to use a stretch mark remover made of all natural ingredients that will help to improve the elasticity of your skin so as to not only diminish the appearance of your stretch marks but also prevent you from getting any more.
Many of the products claim to remove the marks but realistically the best they can do is reduce their visibility so that they are less noticeable. The best stretch mark remover would be one that stimulates the production of your own body's natural collagen so that your skin becomes stronger and its natural elasticity will be increased.
