When we are in a relationship we often have a hard time seeing the bigger picture, for under all the emotions and thoughts is the purpose for you being together. We are brought together with another person to find balance and love, not struggle, resentment, and confusion. Often we let the parts we fight against crowd out the truth of the relationship. We begin to not see why we are together but why we shouldn’t be. Of course, there are always reasons to be sought out and discovered; but it is when we enlarge those so that they encompass all that we create the struggle with each other. If we are to have peace in a relationship, without constant struggle, then we have to find the peace within ourselves first so we can open our hearts to the other person. Balance begins within and radiates out. If you are unstable within the world around you, then you will reflect this and you will even look for it. If you can center and ground yourself first, then the bigger picture of why you are with this person, why you love and cherish them, is easier to see. It can outweigh the struggle, created or not, and help you see the correct path for each situation. If you as a person are clear, everything around you becomes more evident and easy. The person you are in a relationship with can then become who they really are because you will see them clearly without your emotions or thoughts in the way. When you see this person from a centered space you will understand them much more easily. You will also understand your interactions and how you feel. Bringing yourself inward and allowing yourself to be grounded first will help you see the truth of the moment, your partner, and where your relationship is really going. Finding peace with any relationship begins by reaching that clear space within so that you can see where you really are and who you are really with.
