Teach Spiritual lessons to your children in a way that will interest them
Written by Jack Wilson
Richard is nine years old and he lived in a big house which had all his cousins and uncle and aunts, his grandparents as well as his parents. He is the only child of his working parents who had to leave him with the extended family and go to work. He studied in fourth standard and is merely average in studies. He is an extremely restless child and it seems that he does not know what to do with his time all day. Every month his parents receive complaints about his poor performance or conduct from school.
At home also he is not very popular among his aunts or cousins; barring one or two who like the way he is and treats him like a hero and leader in all the mischievous expeditions. His mother has to hear regular complaints against him from his aunts and the cousins. His parents became tired of the daily complaints and were searching for means to engage little Richard in more meaningful activities so that he gets the opportunity to learn new things and utilize his time in a more productive and fruitful manner. Also they were considering the idea of introducing him to the Gospel Tracts and the Christian scripts. They realized that it was the correct time for Richard to learn the stories of the Holy Bible and realize the lessons in the popular stories of Noah, Mosses, the stories of the Roman Road, the creation story and others.
It was in a time when they were desperately seeking what could be a life changing experience for Richard, they were told about Memory Cross by one of their close friends in of those Sunday get together.
Richard’s parents immediately visited the website and learnt as much as they can about the organization. The site was well designed and they got a fair idea of the mission of the organization and how it can help Richard. Only thing they were conce ed about was whether Richard will take interest in the classes or he would like to attend the Sunday School Crafts instead of watching the television.
The school is run by three very talented and focused professionals who are experts in their own fields and created excellent Christian Crafts for Kids. Rev. Andy Lambert, who is serving Forbush Friends Meeting, a church; had the dream of imparting the invaluable lessons of the scriptures to the kids in a manner that is interesting to them.
Rev. Bill Gibson, who serves as a whole time local pastor at another church had extensive experience in branding, interactive marketing and business development. He is also enthusiastic of reaching out to the young minds and creating value in their lives.
Mike Vitamvas is another gem in the team. He is a management graduate who is a partner in a printing firm. He works with the food and the beverages industry, hosiery and apparel industry as well as furniture and retail industries.
The lesson for Sunday school was not only interesting to the kids but also offered a lot for the adults who love to listen to stories from the Scriptures.
Richard’s parents were relieved that Richard started taking active interest in Sunday School Crafts and they even bought several CDs, DVDs and stickers for him and other kids at home which were available at great discounted prices.
