THE ANATOMY OF SIN.
What is sin? The understanding of this will enlighten us on who a sinner is. Sin is the doubt and unbelief in God, and His values. Sin is therefore an internal rejection of your creator and origin. ‘There is no fear of God before their eyes’ (romans 3:18).
In dissecting sin, you will come to see that there are two major forms of sin. The first is the inward sin and the other is the manifest sin.
1. Inward sin: You can also call it the sin of the heart. This form of sin is the wrong state of the spirit. A degenerated spirit who has no light of God, dwells in sin. This form of sin may look righteous outwardly but the power thereof is lacking. It may exhibit religious piety but lacks the inner truth (the true worshippers, worship in spirit and in truth). This form of sin is the deadliest because it is pure hypocrisy. Many who profess to be Christians fall into this category. Always full of activities but no engagement of the Spirit and power for maximum productivity, no wonder Jesus said the Pharisees “ye clean the outward but the inward part is full of wickedness” (Luke 11: 39). Every sin starts from the heart.
Psalm 5:9 also portrays this form of sin. It is a heart issue, that is to say it is deeper than what is seen, Hebrews 3: 12, departing from the truth begins in the heart.
Also remember the parable of the lost coin. The coin got missing in the house, not outside, just think of it, the coin was lost in the very house, and my prayer is that we will not be lost in the house of God in Jesus name.
2. Manifest sin: This form of sin is the seen sin. It is glaring and a blatant wrong doing. This form of sin is not hidden but open for all to see. According to Galatians 5:19, the acts of the flesh are obvious. Looking closely at the listed sins, we can observe, that they include both attitudes and actions. Even the unbelievers confirm that these things are evil.

Unbelief in God leads to dis obedience to His principle and rejection of His values. Sin is not the presence of temptation, rather the acceptance of temptation. We are bound to be tempted but we are not forced to yield to it.
