The Changing Picture of the Catholic Church in Bible Prophecy

As today’s headlines ask, “Is the Pope a Catholic?” readers may wonder what the future holds. When asked about the end of the world, Christ said to understand Daniel’s book.
In Daniel’s 7th chapter, the kingdoms of this world were depicted as fierce beasts of prey. Historians say the lion, bear, leopard and dragon fit the kingdoms of Babylon, Medo-Persia, Grecia and Rome. Only God could foresee the future with such an accurate picture for now..

Out of the 4th beast (Rome) grew a little horn that became great. It spoke great words, changed times and laws and was a persecuting power, Dan 7:25. The Protestant reformers believed that this horn, growing out of the Roman Empire represented the papacy.

The ‘great words’ include one of the pope’s titles, “Lord God the Pope.” Pope Gregory gave the Gregorian Calendar which changed the lunar calendar given in Exodus 12 to one where the new month has no relationship to the new moon.
The papacy also claims the authority to change the 10 Commandments. The catechism eliminates the 2nd Commandment that forbids images, Exodus 20--the church is full of them. Rome also changed the Sabbath to Sunday and abolished the biblical feasts that God said were forever in Leviticus 23. Historians also say 50-100 million died by Romish decrees.
None of this condemns Catholic Christians who live the best they know. The Bible says that God winks in a time of ignorance, Acts 17:30,31, but He commands repentance in a time of judgment (like we may be coming to, as Revelation 13 suggests…

The three major players in the end-times are the sea beast, land beast and image beast in Revelation 13. Early Americans generally believed the sea beast represented the Old World Order (papacy) that they fled for freedom in the New World. Having survived the beasts in Daniel 7, the papacy is seen as an amalgamation of them--mouth like a lion, feet like a bear, looks like a leopard and has the total of 7 heads and 10 horns from Daniel 7. The papacy is the sea beast because the waters represent nations, multitudes of the Old World, Rev 17:15.

The 2nd beast (Rev 13:11) emerges from land--unpopulated area--the New World. Its two horns have no crowns as the previous beast--a government without a king and a church without a pope--Protestant America. It brings fire from heaven (Hiroshima) and causes the world to make an image--a look-alike to the previous papal beast. New World Order will look like the Old World Order for its use of force to compel false worship.
The similarity of New World Order to the papacy is supported by so many Catholic nations in the UN. The identifying number, 666, is the summation of the pope’s title, Vicarius Filii Dei--Vicar of the Son of God. The Roman numerals total 666 (u is counted as 5 like v) Google.
In Revelation 17, the church is depicted as a harlot, riding the beast of New World Order and numerous clues only fit the papacy--involved with kings, wealthy, scarlet--color of cardinals, drunken with the blood of saints (satanic rituals in the Vatican) sitting on 7 hills (Rome). In Revelation 18, there’s a call to come out of her to avoid the plagues. Serious times coming.
