The Desire To Be Rich

There are many people in our society that would have us believe that the desire to be rich financially is a sin. People who believe that making a lot of money is wrong, and the wanting of making a lot of money is wrong. Most of the time these very same people are the ones who use guilt and excuses for why they can't be more than they are to try and stop us from acheiving our full potential.

There is nothing wrong with wanting more out of life, including money. Money is nothing more than a tool, a resource. It is natural to want more money. Life is meant to be experienced to it's fullest, and money happens to be a necessary tool in order to be able to do that. The desire to riches is really the desire for a richer, better, more abundant life over all. The man who does not desire more has something wrong with him and needs to seriously evaluate himself and his psychological well being. To not want to be more, to live a happier more fulfilling life is a sin. Wanting more out of life in any area of your life is not a sin as some would have you believe.

Money is a tool in our society. It is necessary to have money in order to be able to have access to all of the things you need in order to live a full and abundant life. You must have access to knowledge, and money allows us the ability to travel where that knowledge is as well as afford the knowledge once we get there. You need money in order to attend seminars and buy books so that you are able to expand your mind and your soul. You must have money in order to fulfill the needs of your spirit as well. To give to the ones you love as freely as you want, as well as to society around you. To give to your church, whatever your religion may be, and to help others in need. Money is the tool necessary to acquire what you need to move forward to the next phase in your life.

People cannot live comfortably without money. This is not to say that money is the cure all, however, it sure helps. You can't keep your house warm without food, or take care of your physical needs. Everyone needs good food, clothing, and a house that takes care of our needs. Most people are able to do this, however, their financial situation doesn't allow them to do it to a point that is beyond comfortable. Most people live pay check to pay check barely getting by. If they were to become ill, they not only wouldn't be able to take care of the medical bills, but even one week out of work would make eating difficult. This is not wealth or abundance, and nature is a beast of abundance.

Money is what allows us to live life to the fullest. There is nothing wrong with wanting more out of life, including money. Money is not the root of all evil. The love of money is the root of evil. That doesn't mean that you can't desire more money, it simply means that you should not place your happiness on money. Your happiness should come from a total life of abundance including love, money, spirituality, knowledge, and experiences. Many people will use any excuse they can to explain away why they won't do what it takes to live their life to the fullest. It's always easier to try and make others not strive for more, or make excuses for why we aren't what we have the full potential of becoming than it is to do what it takes to get there.
