"We are each responsible for our lives and, more important, the thoughts that create them. If you want your life to be more rewarding, you have to change the way you think." — Oprah Winfrey

What you say when you talk to yourself has a huge impact on what happens in your life. You create your focus through the power of your thoughts and the images you hold in your mind and emotions. When you begin to choose your thoughts in a more conscious fashion, you can begin to shape your destiny.

How is your intuition tied into this? When you are consistently holding negative or pessimistic thoughts you will feel bad. This is one of the ways your intuition has of signaling you that you're on the wrong track. It's as if your bad mood or irritability is your intuition’s early warning system letting you know you’re about to create something less than positive in your life. It's cautioning you to redirect your thinking.

Try this experiment:
Think of something that you really want. Got it? Now spend about thirty seconds saying to yourself, "I'll never get it. I'm not good enough. I'm not lucky. It will never happen." You get the idea. Now, how do you feel? Pretty crummy, right? Great! Your intuition was giving you a message to change your thinking!

Try this again. Bring to mind what you want to create in your life. Spend thirty seconds saying the following,

“I'm so excited about having (this thing).”
“I know I'm on the right track.”
“I have what it takes to succeed at this.”
“Good things are coming my way.”
“I’m open to wonderful, new possibilities.”

I'll bet you feel more positive. Again, this is a message from your intuition. This time your good feelings are an indication that you're on the right track and sending out the right vibration or energy to attract what you desire. Spiritual teacher Ron Rathbun said it best when he stated, "What you find in your mind is what you put there. Put good things in there."

We’re so inundated with overstimulating input from modern life that simply stopping for a while and experiencing what nature has to offer tends to invoke deep relaxation, and a healing response in the body. It’s as if part of us has been on hold, just waiting for the opportunity to open up and relax. Nature can be the doorway.
