Dear Friend,
THE FUTUREn
"The future comes one day at a time.” -- Dean Acheson n
"At the center of the universe is a loving heart that continues to beat and that wants the best for every person. Anything we can do to help foster the intellect and spirit and emotional growth of our fellow human beings that is our job. Those of us who have this particular vision must continue against all odds. Life is for service.” -- Fred Rogers n
"Goals are a preview of future events and experiences in your life.” -- Mark
Victor Hansen n
"When you focus on what might have been, it gets in the way of what can be.” -- Patricia Fripp
How about that -- that the future is now, today, not tomorrow or the next day or weeks or months or years away, it’s right here in this moment. One day at a time is all there is, really, today, this moment, right where you are now. What are you doing about the future in your day, today? That’s the true question and one that I ask of myself most often these days. The truth to this question for me is, all that I am capable of. And being aware of my true self, I’m capable of doing great things in my future, in my today, and endeavor to do it one day at a time. One of my goals is to be and live in the moment, truly, not just give lip service to that.
There is nothing I can not do, or be, or become. I must endeavor to hear the sound, and listen; listen to the voice of The Creator all around me, within me and within all humankind. “Listen to the voice, hear what its saying, hush…”
Love and Blessings,
Brendan

Here's the Good News About Life: IT IS ALL GOOD
As we become more aware and attuned to the multi-dimensional nature of both the Universe and OURSELVES, we create many opportunities for growth. An important aspect of growth is honoring the many facets of who we are. We cannot "hang out in the ethers" to escape Earthly events, nor can we deny that we are "spiritual beings having a human experience." Most of my early life I operated as a warrior who marched into situations braced by the armor of my convictions. Though this served me well in the past, I've learned that it is no longer necessary, or even desirable.

CREATIVE WAYS TO DEAL WITH ADVERSITY
It's important, I find, to recall and re-use old tools that have proven helpful in difficult situations in the past. Sometimes we think we've moved so far forward that a "Been there, done that!" attitude clouds our memory and limits our options. Fear is an ongoing challenge in this world so we need all the assistance we can muster.

PAYING ATTENTION TO THE COSMIC TUMBLERS
In the movie ‘Field of Dreams,” Ray Kinsella (Kevin Costner) quotes author Terence Mann (James Earl Jones ) as saying: “There comes a time when all the cosmic tumblers have clicked into place — and the universe opens itself up for a few seconds to show you what’s possible.” In the film, Terence Mann also laments the tragic fact that most folks aren't even aware of that opening when it occurs, so they never walk through the doors that will lead them into their life's potential.

Toxic People or Situation? LEAVE IT IN THE 'MYSTERY'
All of us will encounter toxic individuals and circumstances in our lives at one time or another. During those experiences we need to use whatever helpful tools we can find to stay balanced and clear about "who we are." One of the methods I use to maintain perspective is to create a "healthy level of detachment." Healthy, because I still have my heart engaged, but am detached enough not to be running amuck in an emotional minefield.
