The Hardest Habit to Break

We are all creatures of habit and that is why it is so hard to break a habit even if it is hurting us. The good news is that we can change our habits from limiting to empowering with a focused effort. However there is one habit that will stay with you for the rest of your life if you acquire it.

Have you ever come across a person who acts like you are obligated to do favors for them even though you have never met them before.

Do you feel like the world owes you something when you know you have done nothing to deserve it?

This belief and attitude goes against every law and principle of nature and the world.

The bible even tells us that we will reap what we sow.

We know that we will not grow fruit if we do not plant the seeds and till the soil.

So why do some people feel like they are entitled to everything when they have done nothing?

This is what is referred to as having a something for nothing attitude. Another word for it is "trifling".

Do you have any trifling people in your life, or are you a trifling person?

What about the family member or so-called friend who stays with you, runs up all of your bills, and eats up all of your food without even offering to pay for a portion of his/her expenses?

Are you in a one-sided relationship with a trifling person where the more you give causes them to take even more from you?

If you see this something for nothing, trifling attitude developing in your kids it is up to you as a parent to break that habit for them while they are still young.

Otherwise if they have acquired the habit of being a trifling person with a something for nothing attitude by the time they reach the age of thirty or forty, they might as well hang it up.

By that time they are far too lazy to even attempt to try to change bad habits. As a matter of fact they do not even view their habits as bad, because they expect you to do everything for them anyway.

Nothing is impossible, but this habit is the closest thing to impossible to break. A trifling, something for nothing person, will be a trifling something for nothing person until the day he/she dies.
