THE NIGHT OF HALLOWEEN
Twas the night of Halloween and all through the house,
My loved ones were sleeping, my son and my spouse.
The candles were lit on my altar with care,
In hopes that great spirits soon would be there.
My boys were all cozy and snug in their beds,
While visions of jack-o-lante
s danced in their heads.
The doormen downstairs had no way to tell,
That this city witch was casting a spell.
The moon over the skyline, pure brilliance to show,
Gave the lustre of magic to all traffic below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should I see,
But ghosts from the New York Stock Exchange floating around me.
I looked for my ouija board, but Amazon didn't get,
A chance to deliver it so I took out my tarot set.
One ghoul said to me "no, you don't need that" with a grin,
"Because you are connected to the power within..."
Magic is not a trick, it is a wise and useful treat,
For witches who know how to make good things happen on Wall Street.
So I finished my witchcraft then ordered a late snack,
Because Seamless sure knows that I always come back.
Believe in your magic, where there's love, all is right...
