Yes, this is the ancient art that originally comes from Indonesia, but, there’re also many other country that has similar art with original batik from Indonesia. That makes a lot of modern clothes have a few natural touch, which become more beautiful. However, do you know the real meaning of Batik? In fact, batik that you can find on batik clothes is the art of painting with wax. Yes, the material that used as paint on Batik clothes is special mix of wax and dyes. The original word was “Nitik”. It means making dots on a fabric. By making dots, there’re several ways to create dots pattern on fabric. And that’s also the factor that make batik comes in many kinds of beautiful pattern, from plant, animal and even people. Batik was originally a technique that used to create beautiful fabric for royal family or king in ancient Java kingdom. Before Batik stamp was found, batik was created by hand. So, several batik artists are gaining high position at that time. Although, Batik Stamp become one of the solution to deal with high demand that modern industry has, but still, hand painting batik is more valuable. It’s like the one of a kind of masterpiece of batik artist. And it has higher price than batik stamp, because the complexity and difficult that artist must have when they made it manually. This category of batik even has price five times higher than batik stamp. Therefore, many people also choose the hand painting batik as one of valuable collection item. But, we can’t deny that batik stamp change the application of batik. You can find pakaian batik, batik on dress, although it just an accent and several other type. Basically we can say, batik make our fashion looks beautiful and natural.
