The Soul as our Centre

A basic principle in nature is that everything has a center from which it obtains its source energy, intelligence and pattern which is continually self-renewing. Each center is connected to every other center and to the one center from which all life is vitalized.

In more philosophical language, the center of anything is its essence, or soul. Every soul is connected to every other soul and to the one soul of humanity, the planet and universe. This center appears to us to be paradoxical because it is at one and the same time both individual and universal.

Because of this identification of centers, when we focus on the energies and qualities of the soul within ourselves we are at the same time affecting or stimulating the soul of humanity. For example, when focused on, or identified with compassion we are resonating the compassion which exists in the soul of humanity, thereby assisting humanity.

On the other hand, when we attempt to influence others through thought that is not soul centered we are manipulating, which goes contrary to universal law and has karmic consequences for ourselves. Stepping out of our own center does not enable us to serve the center in others or humanity.

When we carry a soul-centered vision we are giving form in a personal way to that which is inspired by the planetary soul or the soul of humanity. It is only such a vision that is supportive of life for humanity and the planet. Such a vision is a qualitative approach to understanding real needs. It must then result in corresponding compassionate actions that fulfill needs.

By doing our own inner soul work and expression of love, understanding and empowerment we are at the same time serving humanity and the planet.
