Everyone wants to improve their results, especially when it involves their income. Sales associates, business owners, managers, and leaders, attempt to structure their day to experience growth. I meet with people each day who are committed, dedicated, and passionate about building their organizations and increasing their earnings.
But, commitment, dedication, and passion will only go so far. It is your actions that will determine your results. And if you are looking for great results, start taking great actions. Far too many people take only one of the three steps necessary for predictable growth.
I strive for "growth" every day, both personally and professionally. To guarantee results in the business world, I focus on three main areas: The Trifecta of Growth™:
1. Leadership
2. Team-Building
3. Sales
Most people pour all of their efforts into just one of these areas. Sales Associates work hard to develop their sales skills, but never focus on the benefit of leadership or the impact of team building. Owners are guilty of studying leadership, but not understanding how to build a team, which can sell. While each area, individually, will produce results, it is the seamless combination of all three that will move you from encountering moments of success, to experiencing consistent growth.
Leadership is the foundation upon which all else is built. It is the rudder on your boat. It will provide you clarity when identifying your final destination and will guide you through the course. Leadership is the ability to influence people. And, no matter what industry you are in, you are still in the people business.
Team-Building is essential for growth. No one does it alone. Your ability to develop a visionary team, dedicated to improving results is paramount. There is a vast difference between gathering a group of people and Forming the Team! That difference will bring you and your organization results much faster.
Sales - the life-blood of every organization. Learn to change the perception of your sales associates and you will experience greater results. Focus on 3-D Sales: Desire, Development, and Decision. Creating growth is not easy, but it is simple. Develop balance between all three components of The Trifecta of Growth™ and you will experience the results you are striving for.
