Daily meditation is an essential Spiritual practice of the Integrated Ascended Master. It is the process of withdrawing our attention from the outer world and directing it towards the inner world.
Why should I meditate?
To quiet the mind, enter a space of no thought, attune with Spirit, and bring forth clear states of awareness.
How long should I meditate?
There is no right or wrong. Follow your intuition. Twenty minutes a day is a good way to get started.
Where and when should I meditate?
Ideally we meditate every day at the same time and at the same spot. This greatly helps to build up the energies and creates momentum. It will also help you to immediately re-enter the meditative space every time you sit down for meditation. Be sure to find a time and spot where you will not get interrupted by anyone or anything and where you can be by yourself.
How do I meditate?
You can meditate wherever, whenever and however you wish. However, a good way to start meditation for beginners is to sit down comfortable (in crossed-leg position on a meditation cushion if you can), spine and head straight, eyes closed, hands opened with your palms up and the thumb and index finger of each hand slightly touching each other. Focus on your breath. Breathe naturally, relaxing your whole body. Fill your heart with love and devotion and then call forth Spirit, your Mighty I AM Presence, or whatever Ascended Master, Angel, etc. you would like to connect with. Do this for twenty minutes, or however long you can.
What are the benefits of meditation?
Benefits of meditation include stilling the mind, quieting the emotions, improving the ability to focus and concentrate the mind, stress relief, strengthening the body’s immune system, physical healing, Spiritual attunement, connecting with Spirit and the Ascended Masters, and on and on.
The Integrated Ascended Master is a master in the art of meditation. He realizes that meditation is the door to more (of God).
