"The problem is not your thighs, Sweetie. The problem is your head." - Carrie to Charlotte on Sex and the City
Have you heard the expression, "thoughts are things?" Well, it's true and that means you can think your way to whatever you desire - including your ideal weight. You can actually use your thoughts to design and create the body you've always wanted. You can literally think yourself thin.
Yes, indeed, thoughts are things! According to the Law of Attraction, you are a magnet constantly attracting into your life whatever you are thinking about. As you deliberately direct your thoughts toward being thin and sleek, you are creating a body that is thin and sleek. Isn't it empowering to know that you can think you way to your ideal body.
It's important to recognize that you get what you think about - whether you want it or not. As you focus on being at your ideal weight, you invite in your ideal weight. As you focus on, worry about, and struggle against excess pounds, you perpetuate an overweight condition. Therefore, if you continue to think of yourself as overweight, you will continue to be overweight even if you work out at the gym every day and eat only light, healthy foods.
Every cell in your body is affected by your thoughts. We create our physical condition through our thoughts, which means that we can think ourselves thin or think ourselves fat. Our thoughts and beliefs determine whether the food we eat contributes to our weight gain or weight loss, adds pounds or subtracts them.
Do you have negative thoughts and beliefs that are making it all too difficult for you to lose weight? Do you buy into any of these limiting beliefs?
I want to lose weight, but:
· I've tried everything and nothing works.
· I can't help it - it's genetic.
· I'm heavy because I have bad karma from a past life.
· Even when I lose weight, I gain it all back and more.
· After a certain age, it's just impossible to lose weight.
· I'm weak and don't have enough willpower.
To overcome these self-defeating beliefs and get on track to the body of your dreams, follow these three steps:
1. Know What You DON'T Want. I'll bet what you don't want goes something like this: I don't want to be so darn heavy.
2. Decide What You DO Want. OK, you know what you don't want. So what DO you want? Something like this, perhaps: I want to be thin and fit. I want to be proud of my appearance.
3. Focus on What You DO Want. Think about your ideal body as if you already possess it. Experience in your mind the joy of being thin and looking fine. Focus on your desire and, like a magnet, you will attract your thin, youthful appearance.
The process for manifesting your ideal weight is the same as for manifesting anything you desire - focus on what you want, NOT on what you don't want. Think of yourself as a happy, thin, energetic person. Think your way to your ideal body weight. Think Yourself Thin!
