The rate at which you lose weight and transform your body and how major the change is depends on the quality and quantity of work you put into your body. Below are three principles for successful weight loss.
Firstly, you should develop the right mind set for weight loss. If you start thinking and truly believing that weight loss is actually achievable and you can lose weight when you put in effort, you will find that results will come sooner than you think possible! You should always think positive, and even when you meet fat loss plateaus, you should continue believing in your efforts and work even harder. Most often, success is at its closest to you when you want to give up. Persevere on for that much longer, and you will soon see substantial changes in the way your body looks.
Next, you should determine both your long term and short term goals and work hard towards them. This is crucial in order to appreciate the progress you are making along the way. Having a long term goal is important but short term goals are just as important since they keep us on track by helping us gauge our results. Also, by having short term goals, we will feel more motivated to keep working out when we achieve these small goals, instead of waiting for the day our long term goal is achieved.
Finally, you should do something each and every single day to work towards your goal. You may not be exercising all seven days each week, but no day should go by without you doing at least one thing which will result in improvement for your body and health. If you decide to work out 3 days a week, then for the remainder of the week you should continue to eat healthy, or engage in activities which will require you to not be fixed to your couch. The mistake many people make is thinking that to lose weight, they only have to make a temporary change in their lives. It is still possible to lose weight by making only temporary changes but the lost weight will be regained very quickly if you were to not make it your lifestyle change instead. You should not see eating healthy foods as a diet. Instead, you should be viewing it as eating healthy and making a permanent change in your lifestyle for the better!
