The use of plastic bottles has increased and it has become a way of life. Most of us use these bottles probably 5-6 of them per week. But on the other hand, disposing them off is harmful to the environment. So what can actually be done to solve this issue? How can you re-use these plastic bottles and that too at home? To know all this, read the passage below.

Well...plastic bottles can be used at home in a number of ways which you have not even thought of before but you wold be pleased to know about them. Some of the great ways of reusing plastic bottles are mentioned below:

1. Children Craft:

Small children can make the best and interesting use with plastic bottles in the form of:

Worm palace: Use a big plastic bottle as a home for worms. Cut off the top portion of the bottle and pour in some dirt. Put some worms in it. They will eventually start digging heir tunnels to create a worm village. In this way, they will get a habitat and the plastic bottle would be utilized.

Spirit shakers: Pour tempera paint in a plastic bottle. Swirl it around until it coats the sides, and then take off the excess. Let it dry for some time. After this is done, toss in a few beans and then glue the lid closed. Its an interesting way to utilize a plastic bottle and have fun in the school.

2. Eco-friendly Uses:

You can also reuse the plastic bottles for Eco-friendly purposes as mentioned below:

Save Your Water Bill: What you can do is, you can fill a plastic water bottle and put the lid back on. Flush toilet and as soon as you find that the tank is empty, fix the bottle inside. .In this way, the tank would be half full and by this unique way, you would be able to save your water bill as well at the same time.

Control Your Pests: Cut a bottle into two parts. One part should be one-fourth of the bottle. Keep any sweet juice in the bigger part of the bottle and then invert the second half of the plastic bottle to create a funnel into the bottle. This would attract all the pests and insects and you will be able to keep your home free from irritating creatures.

3. Scientific Uses:

Under this, you can really teach your children how to make the most from a plastic bottle.

You can teach the properties of water and oil by putting cooking oil, food and water into the bottle that is half cut. After pouring, you will find that the oil does not mix with the water. This is how you can make a healthy food. It is obvious that you would not cook in the bottle but at least this would be helpful for the young children to understand the scientific usage of plastic bottles and also the properties of water and oil alongside.
