Want to know some effective tips for better customer service? Read this article and you’ll find out how to treat your customers to make them buy from you again and again. Customer service plays a big role in the success of your business. If you don’t know how to treat your customers right, don’t expect them to return to your store. Don’t even expect them to put in a good word for you to their friends. And you know how particular some of your customers can be. If you feel like your business is seriously lacking in that department, I suggest you take these tips for better customer service into consideration. Surprisingly, following these tips is quite easy to do. Most of them require only keen observation skills and willingness to help. These tips are rooted at your own values and what you deem are most important. Tip # 1 For Better Customer Service: Say “Yes” To Special Requests. Some customers make special requests out of you. It could be in the form of a discount or a free inspection. When this happens, it is important that you do your best to say “yes.” If you’re not completely sure about what to do, you’d better clear it up with the manager first. However, if you know that your customer’s request is possible, grant it. This will greatly please your customer and will more or less ensure good feedback. Tip # 2 For Better Customer Service: Be Extra Considerate. While the nice, old lady doesn’t need your opinion on which brand of cereals she should get, she might need your help reaching for it. Instances like this are more common than most people realize. You have to keep your eyes and ears open. If you’re talking to a client and you immediately notice that they don’t understand the jargons you’re using, take it down a notch. Choose your words according to your customer’s level of understanding. Tip # 3 For Better Customer Service: Ask For Service Feedback. If you want to know how to keep loyal customers, get them directly from the source. Ask your customers how they feel about your service and how they could be improved. There might be a few things that escaped your attention. Feedback can range from positive to negative, so be prepared for it. Take note of what they tell you. If they cite some points for improvement, make sure to act upon them (or else what is the point?). These tips for better customer service can have a profound impact on the way other people see your business. Always remember that no matter how successful you become, keep your feet on the ground. Make customer service among your top priorities and everything else will fall into place.
