One goal that I think that everyone that wants to lose weight has is to get a flat stomach. And this is also a quite hard goal to achieve. Especially if you don’t know how to do it. Here I am going to give you some tips how to do it.

1. Exercise

One of the things that you absolutely have to do to get a flat stomach is exercise. There is no way around this. You need to burn calories and boost your metabolism. And this should be exercises that raise your heartbeat, not just lifting weights. You should do some aerobics or go out and run for 30 minutes. You can also try dancing, like zumba if you find that fun.

But the training method I would recommend would be kettlebell workout. Then you build muscle and burn fat at the same time.

I read a lot on the internet that you should do crunches to get a flat stomach. Of course you need to do crunches or other stomach exercises to build up the muscles on you stomach. But it will not burn any fat at all. So you will not get a flat stomach just by doing crunches. You need to do some exercises that raise your heartbeat and burns calories. But don’t get me wrong, you need to do crunches to.

2. Sugar

You need to limit your daily sugar intake. Because sugar is one of the worst things you can eat if you want to get a flat stomach. It just adds empty calories and promotes weight gain.

3. Fiber & Bad Carbs

You really need to add fiber into your diet. Start eating more fresh fruits and vegetables. You also need to cut down on you intake of bad carbs. Examples of that is pasta, white bread, potatoes and white rice. You can change the rice to brown rice. And change the white bread to whole wheat bread instead.

4. Water

I think I have brought up this subject in most of the articles I have written about weight loss. And that is because it is very important to drink enough water in order to lose weight. Especially if you want to get a flat stomach.

You need water to get your kidneys to function properly. Otherwise your liver will have to the kidneys job, which means you will liver can’t convert the fat to energy properly. Which means you will store up on fat instead.

5. Smaller Meals

Instead of having 3 big meals a day, like most people do, try to eat around 6 meals a day. This can sound a bit counterintuitive. But you should eat 6 small meals and portion it out through out the day. Don’t eat 6 big meals, if you do that it will be even worse then 3 meals a day.
