Some surprising facts about Diabetes:

Did you know? It’s estimated that 24 millio
Americans (or 7.8% of our population!) has diabetes, and there may be as many as another 18 million undiagnosed cases. The American Diabetes Association (ADA) also estimates that an additional 57 millio
Americans are pre-diabetic. Sadly, 1.6 million new cases of diabetes are diagnosed every year.

That is terrible in and of itself that so many are sick but worse is how many people die from this preventable disease.

In fact:

Diabetes causes more deaths a year than breast cancer and AIDS combined.

Also if that wasn’t enough every two out of three people with diabetes die from heart disease or stroke.

So what can we do about this deadly degenerative disease (Also known as aging diseases)? Is there a natural way outside of taking insulin all your life, to control your blood sugar and live your life to it’s fullest? Yes, there is! More on that later, first a few words on what diabetes is and what it isn’t.
Definition of Diabetes:

Diabetes mellitus, often simply referred to as diabetes—is a degenerative disease “in which a person has high blood sugar, either because the body doesn’t produce enough insulin, or because cells don’t respond to the insulin that is produced.”

There are two forms of Diabetes:
Type 1:

Also called “Juvenile Diabetes” because it primarily affects younger children and minors. Caused by primarily genetic factors and can onset with little or no warning, due to person being not necessarily unhealthy or obese.
Symptoms include:

* Frequent urination
* Unusual thirst
* Extreme hunger
* Unusual weight loss
* Extreme fatigue and Irritability

Type 2:

The vastly more common form (and most preventable form) affecting %90-%95 of the US Diabetic population. Is caused by a combination of lifestyle and genetics.
Symptoms of Type 2 (Not always present if you have risk factors of extra weight and family history have yourself regularly checked out and I also recommend following the management steps found in this blog.):

* Any of the type 1 symptoms
* Frequent infections
* Blurred vision
* Cuts/bruises that are slow to heal
* Tingling/numbness in the hands/feet
* Recurring skin, gum, or bladder infections

Diabetes have been linked to or people that have it are more likely to get the following diseases:
1. Heart Disease (narrowing of large arteries that supply the heart + increased risk
of strokes + high cholesterol & triglycerides due to high sugar level in blood)
2. Peripheral Vascular Disease (poor circulation to the legs & feet leading torngangrene & amputations)
3. Retinopathy (narrowing & breakage of blood vessels in the eyes leading tornblindness)
4. Neuropathy (tingling, burning, numbness, and pins and needles sensations,
especially in legs and feet)
5. Kidney Problems (do to high sugar in urine) – kidney failure is the cause ofrndeath for many diabetics.
6. High Blood Pressure (due to narrowing of the blood vessels)
7. Infections (Diabetics are more prone to infections and often don’t heal well.)

8. And a new one just in from the ADA: Cancer! (Probably due to underlying lifestyle)
So what is to be done about Diabetes?

What can be done to not develop it?

Many things!

To reduce the risk of developing Type II Diabetes, we must maintain good blood sugar levels, which is dependent on four things:

1) wise diet (including adequate fibre & avoidance of simple carbohydrates);

2) healthy pancreas;

3) healthy adrenal glands;

4) exercise

The Pancreas creates Insulin. In order to have a healthy pancreas, it is essential to consume adequate nutrients, especially protein, vitami
C, B vitamins, and zinc.

And if you have it, is it possible to cure it?

It is possible but is not easy.

Follow the next few steps well and you can have good success, I even know people who have! But you must follow it exactly.

1) Follow your suggested diet from your doctor. Much research has been done here and most of the diets they will give you are effective.

2) Exercise as much as you can (start small with maybe just a walk around the block move on from there). Follow your doctor here as well.

3) Reduce your weight as much as possible, obesity more then anything else will stop any attempt to get back to normal.

4) Stop smoking anything. Period.

5) Take as many as you can of the following suggested supplements

(If you are taking any drugs clear any of these through him/her first due to possible interaction):

-Soy Protein – low fat protein source (essential for healthy insulin receptor sites)

-Multivitamin – (Be sure to get one with a vitamin & mineral smorgasbord)

-Fibre (slows down glucose absorption into blood)

-Omega 3 (be sure to get ultra pure), Lecithin, and Milled Flaxseed or Flaxseed Oil Capsules – - (helpful for neuropathy symptoms & reduces heart disease risk)

-Vitamin E (improves circulation, helps reduce risk of clotting, reduces risk of retinopathy, neuropathy, and reduces oxidation – thereby, reducing LDL cholesterol)

-A complete B vitamin (All of them in one) (reduces neuropathy, reduces plaque formation in arteries, increases glucose utilization, and increases immunity)

  • Vitamin C (natural infection fighter, improves healing, and essential for health of eyes & kidneys)
  • Alfalfa, an excellent source of minerals (diabetics experience excess mineral loss due to frequent urination)
  • Zinc (essential for pancreas health and to increase the body’s immune function)

Following these tips can see a radical change in your life and can give you a new lease on life!

As a member of The National Writers Union for many years, I have been aware of the problems experienced by educated, professional writers. Many have been deprived of their contracted fees. Others have had their writing plagiarized or syndicated without their consent and without payment to the writer by unscrupulous publishers and authors. But the Writers’ Union has done something about that. Jointly, as a group, they have managed to fight for the rights of individual writers.

Reawakening love IS possible. It happens all the time. Just when you most feel like giving up, letting go and moving on, stop and reevaluate before leaving. Yes, there are some relationships that have truly run their course. Perhaps the reason for connecting no longer exists and both would be happier elsewhere. But very often, two people reach an impassem, an inevitable butting of heads and personality differences, and instead of working through the issues they just give up and leave.

What do YOU believe are the 3 causes of all relationship problems? * Inadequate Money? * Not enough or too much Sex? * Friends interfering? * Family triangles and intrusions? * Poor communication? * Emotional Imbalance? Relationships are more complex than many of us care to admit. We choose a person who attracts us because of the way they look, behave and feel. And, inevitably, as we get closer and know each other better, those very same previously wonderful qualities can become a thorn in our side.

Ever since I began seeing my private therapy and coaching clients, over two decades ago, I have been longing to work with a Virtual Assistant. In fact, I wanted this type of personal assistance to help me cope with my family, my relationships, my career path, and even my health many years before this type of service became available online. When I was single, I would often choose a partner who looked good physically or sounded wonderful at first but proved to be either emotionally or financially bereft – and I thought I had made another “bad” choice.r
