In another scenario, the treatment provided against the heart arrhythmia actually became a worse situation due to the impact of this process on the electrical system of the heart. The risks of complications associated with cardiac ablation are varied, their extent can also be felt upon different organs of the human body. Some patients complaint of venous thromboembolism in their legs or lungs which basically initiated formation of blood clots. The normal structure of veins which carry them to and forth between the lungs and heart can narrow down leading to pulmonary vein stenosis, in some cases. Unlike the risks caused by surgical insertion of medical instruments, the kidneys are at risk due to the special dye which is used during this procedure.
In rare cases, the patients can experience a stroke or heart attack which are life-threatening medical conditions. On a similar average, a fatality has been reported.
