Trust Only Now

Many are restless and not at peace due to fear and worry of wars and personal conflicts as well as financial difficulties. Since time began mankind has had these worries and many feel a loss of security. The question we pose to ourselves is 'In what can we put our Trust to feel secure?"

In looking for ‘something’ we have forgotten to trust the only thing that is truly trustworthy; the Present Moment. The future doesn’t look bright in the world when coming from a ‘human ego’ perspective. To the ego, the world is divided by what has past and what we think of as the future, never seeing only NOW. To the ego, the past has no answers except that we failed at securing our own peace and the future is fearful without personal gain. The fear of the future can be quelled only by the trust found in the Present Moment.

Whenever we see a division between anything, trust becomes impossible. For instance, if we see a span of time between now and when we find Peace, we are not trusting the Present Moment as one that brings us Peace Now. We are instead projecting time between ourselves and Peace found whereas our salvation (finding lasting Peace) can only occur in the Present.

Can you be saved from any present worry in any time other than the moment you are saved from it? That is the Present Moment and there is no other time! There is no other time but the present just as there is no space between who you and I are in relation to God.

Now and Awakening stems from our fear of Waking to the Present Moment in which our Creator created us and wherein we find a Present Love.

The only time we can trust in the Love that created us as one with our brother in spite of seeming separate warring bodies and trust that salvation and unity with God can be ours NOW, is in the Present Moment. This is true because the past serves to reminds us we are not truly joined with our brother and thoughts of the future can only contain the same mistakes made from our past actions and thoughts.

The Present Moment contains no fear because it relies on your trust to experience it and when there is trust, there can be no fear.

The focus on Now is not exclusive to Eastern thought or to that of the teachings of A Course in Miracles. Jesus of Nazareth, 2000 years ago, spoke of the Present Moment in the New Testament when he told his own students not to worry what to wear or what to eat ~ ‘Does not our Father care for the birds? How much more would he care for you?” As well as “Worry not of the morrow for tomorrow’s troubles will be sufficient unto themselves.” He taught that forgiveness was the pathway to a Present Peace of Mind; Peace without fear of tomorrow.

This is because Forgiveness frees us to truly join with our brother and in this joining we learn of trust, where there can be no fear. When you trust, it means you made the choice to release fear. Without fear of the future or regrets from the past, there is only the Present Moment. There is nothing to stand between you and me and our Creator. This is how forgiveness leads us to the Present Moment.

Jesus taught that the shortcut to the Present Moment was through forgiveness and salvation from conflict was the inevitable result.

Trust only Now and find Peace. When mankind wants only the Love that comes from the Present Moment there will be Peace on Earth. n
