Conducting business in an ethical manner will prove to pay off for you time and time again. Keeping your morals and ethics at the centerfront of all you do in business and life, will make you a better person and yield more success in all of your endeavors.

I work with many clients on a daily basis. I work long hours and my clients are heavily cared for. I've been known to respond to my clients' issues much faster than other competitors, even when in the middle of a large project where interruption is evident. The close eye to detail and response that we provide is the reason that word of mouth marketing exists.

Working with many clients in the industry of web design, I am constantly amazed how many of my existing clients have been taken advantaged of from their previous business relationships. For instance, we built a website for a local chiropractic firm and I was absolutely blown away by what they went through with their old web design company. This company never required a contract when they had their original site built, and when we needed to perform a "domain name transfer" which is a very common task, this other company demanded that my client paid $150 to do so. Let me remind you that this task is a free one, across the board.

Being ethical in business doesn't always mean being ethical to the clients you work with. Often times, for numerous reasons, you'll lose a client whether it's due to them going out of business, picking another business to serve them, or another reason. It is 100% essential that when you lose that client, you stay as professional, honest and courteous to them as you did when you were earning their business. If you are to stay professional throughout the switch, you will most likely still get that word of mouth you need from that past client.

In as world where everyone is looking for the quick fix, or easy money, it is hard to find a company who will deliver on their promises and maintain them for years to come. The magic of keeping your client's business is delivering on your promises initially, as well as on a long-term basis. Because failing to continually deliver the results you sold your service on, could cost you the business relationship. In the end, remember to keep your ethics and morals close to heart in all you do, and your business life will surely thrive.
