Like many of you, my love for my family motivates me to do what I do. I decided to go to medical school at the age of 39 after doctors made my daughter ill by prescribing psychiatric drugs for her bladder infections. Every day I am grateful for the knowledge I obtained.
Though I always believed that it should be a parent’s right to choose if their children were vaccinated or not, I had given vaccines to my own children without a second thought. I did not, however, give them in my medical practice. I guess you could say I was sitting on the fence where vaccines were conce
ed.
That all changed on April 29, 1999. On that day a nurse attempted to give my newbo
granddaughter a Hepatitis B vaccine. To say I was shocked would be an understatement! Hepatitis B is considered a sexually transmitted disease, or obtained from IV drug abusers. I recommended to my daughter that she decline that vaccination. A few months later that vaccine was removed from the market because of the mercury it contained and the conce
about the dangers this presented to newbo
infants. From that moment, this doctor and grandmother was no longer sitting on the vaccine fence.
Each day in my practice I see several new patients who have been diagnosed with autism. Most parents report that their child was perfectly normal until a certain vaccine was given. They can show you the videos of the child before and after the vaccine. There is a marked difference. Though studies have been published indicating no correlation between vaccines and autism, many studies have shown a clear cause and effect. A letter by doctor Congressman Dave Weldon indicates that data, published in The journal of Pediatrics saying vaccines don’t cause autism, was actually manipulated to make it appear that there was no danger to vaccinations. The incidence of autism in this country has risen to one in every 150 children. This is an epidemic!

In the past 20 years as the numbers of doses of vaccines has doubled, there has been a doubling of learning disabilities, attention and behavior problems, and asthma; a tripling of diabetes, and a 200 to 7,000 percent increase in autism in every state. Schools cannot build special education classrooms fast enough to take care of the millions of children who are unable to learn and achieve the way previous generations of children have learned and achieved. The price tag to care for chronically ill and disabled Americans totals more than 425 billion dollars annually and is climbing.
Bio-chemical Individuality: Why some get sick and others do notr
My own research indicates there may be a simple blood test that can tell us which children are more likely to have an adverse reaction to vaccines.
Glutathione s-transferase: Detoxifies heavy metals and many environmental toxins such as solvents, heavy metals and pesticides. It increases toxic burden if missing.
Prevention is easier than treatment
Prevention
1. Check genetics at birth, esp. glutathione deficiency
2. Avoid vaccinations when applicable
3. Test for vaccine immunity prior to repeating any vaccine
4. Make safer vaccines
5. Assure conscientious objection for allr
Treatment: Very costly, very difficult
Many pediatricians believe that mercury was removed from vaccines in 1999 and tell parents there is no mercury in the shots they give their patients. This is simply not true. While some vaccines have had the mercury reduced, others, like the tetanus and flu vaccines, have not. On the positive side, Iowa and Califo
ia passed laws banning mercury in vaccines. Parents deserve to have all the facts to make educated decisions about their children’s health. This is called informed consent.
The right to informed consent to medical interventions which carry a risk of injury or death has been viewed as a fundamental human right in the ethical practice of modern medicine for more than 50 years
Between 12,000 and 17,000 vaccine adverse events, including hospitalizations, injuries and deaths, are reported to the federal Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System every year although it is estimated this represents only 5 to 10 percent of all vaccine adverse events which occur. Because vaccines do have the capacity to injure and cause death, state laws mandating vaccine use by children entering school have always included exemptions to vaccination for medical, religious or personal belief reasons. Currently, all states allow a medical exemption; 48 states allow a religious exemption and 17 states allow a personal, philosophical or conscientious belief exemption.
Laws governing U.S. public health policy are generally state laws. Therefore, mandates for and exemptions to vaccination are a matter for state legislation and different states have different language governing mandates and exemptions.
The United States federal health agencies recommend and states mandate that American children receive more vaccines than any other country in the world for entry to school. Currently, 37 doses of 12 vaccines are recommended and most are required by law. Unlike Canada and Europe and other developed countries, social and financial penalties for not complying with government recommendations and state laws can include denial of an education; denial of government entitlement programs, denial of health insurance and denial of medical care.
The right to exercise conscientious belief exemption to vaccination is part of the larger health rights movement that supports informed, voluntary choice making in health care. As more and more vaccines are developed, marketed and recommended for universal use by federal health officials, the need to protect and expand legal exemptions to vaccination will become more important for those who have chosen alte
ative ways to prevent illness and maintain health.
Many doctors around the country are helping families who choose alte
ative ways to prevent illness and maintain health. To do this, these doctors must practice a different type of medicine. While most doctors in the United States are practicing drug-based medicine, these doctors must look elsewhere for solutions. Drugs, at best cover up the symptoms. At worst, drugs cause serious side effects.
As I mentioned earlier, my motivation comes from my love for my family. When I had been in practice only 6 months, my mother was diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer. She was given 2 months to live.
I searched for something that might save her. Conventional medicine offered nothing. I was devastated! I then searched for medical alte
atives. Here I found many things to try. With this “alte
ative” protocol, instead of being dead in 2 months, my mother was cured in 4 months. My mother lived 18 more years free of cancer and died at the age of 92 after breaking her hip.
In many states it is actually illegal to use these so-called “alte
ative” therapies even though they are published in the medical literature and are considered standard treatments in most other countries around the world. Today, many doctors around the United States are spending millions of dollars to defend themselves and their medical licenses because they chose to provide to their patients the kind of medical care that saved my mother’s life.

Good News / Bad News... It Will Never Be Perfect, But It Can Be Done!
I decided to write an article about getting things done and not worrying about perfection and found myself in need of my own advice... I like to think that I subscribe to the idea that "good enough" is good enough. Sure it's important to do a good job and make sure there are no major mistakes or omissions but for the most part get it done and get it out.

Are you an information hoarder?
Have you seen the show Hoarders, Buried Alive? Many people are entranced by it. It’s reminds me of when you drive down the road and pass an accident… it’s hard to turn away. I’ve heard people say that they are amazed at how “those people” live. Can’t “they” understand the difference between what’s junk and what’s not? How can “they” save all that stuff? What were “they” thinking as they accumulated all of it? Did “they” really think they would use it? How can “they” live that way? Don’t “they” know when enough’s enough?
