One story that has always impacted me from the bible is the story of the woman who committed adultery and was brought to Jesus to receive the proper punishment. He told the crowd any of you who have not sinned throw the first rock at her. One by one of her accusers left and Jesus said to her, go and sin no more. I believe this is a huge lesson about walking your talk. Yes, we all have made mistakes and the key is to forgive ourselves for everything we have done that we are not proud about and then do our best to not fall into the same behaviors, and this is how we walk our talk. How many times we are ready to criticize or put down someone not realizing that we have room in our own lives to change those very faults that we see in others.

Walking our talk is about living the life that demonstrates unconditional love for everyone. I remember a few years ago when I was ordained by Dr. Fuller, who definitely walks his talk, said to all of us, the best sermon you will ever deliver is how you live your own life. This impacted me a lot because for me it meant that actions speak louder than words. He was talking about walking our talk. How many times we try to teach or convince people how they should live their lives, not realizing that we are not being true to ourselves because our own life needs some healing, maybe in the same areas we are instructing others to change in their lives.

I invite everyone to be very honest with yourself and review which areas in your life have to be more congruent so there is a total alignment between what you think, what you speak and your actions. Walking your talk is the pure demonstration of congruency between these 3. I invite you to invest more time praising, encouraging, complimenting and loving others. The more you do, the more you will be walking your talk because love is the biggest builder of people.

I also invite everyone to practice the amazing qualities of silence and listening. There is so much to learn from others when we take the time to listen. Become a loving observer of everything and everyone and enjoy the power of living in the now. Make the quality of your life the best demonstration of walking your talk.
