Additional allowance money may be a little scarce these days, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other ways for teens to make money. As long as you’re a dedicated and resourceful worker, you won’t have a problem earning cash at all.
Everywhere you look, there are possibilities. If you’re interested to learn more about the ways for teens to make money, read on!
1) Make the headlines.
As a newspaper boy/girl that is! This classic part-time job has never lost its touch. If your town has a local newspaper, apply as a newspaper deliverer in your neighborhood. This would not only earn you a little money, it would also lead you to other opportunities.
Think about it. Most newspaper boys/girls end up making the acquaintance of everybody in the community. The adults see them as responsible teenagers and end up giving them more jobs.
2) Sing at supper.
If you have a good singing voice, then you can most certainly sing at supper. I’m not kidding. This is one of the most rewarding and exciting ways for teens to make money.
To be quite frank, today’s teen celebrities aren’t any different. If you don’t think an agent is stopping by your town soon, you’ll just have to be your own agent.
Go to as many auditions as you can. Or perform in restaurants or clubs that highlight music and entertainment. Even if it’s just for your mother’s friend’s cousin’s wedding, sing your heart out. A teenager with a golden voice is always welcome. Everybody likes a fresh face.
3) Sell your junks.
Listening to your parents go on and on about your room can be exasperating, but it can also rake in some nice cash. Think about it. A teenager’s room is like a treasure trove. Do you still want that teddy bear? Or what about that box of comic books?
You might not think they’re worth anything, but one of your neighbors might have a different opinion. You’ve probably already heard that one man’s junk is another man’s treasure.
Holding a garage sale is one of the ways for teens to make money AND end up with a clean room. So listen to your parents. Organize your things and get rid of all those you don’t really want anymore. Gather these things together and put up a garage sale.
You could also sell them online on E-bay. E-bay attracts a lot of targeted, eager-to-spend buyers.
It’s not difficult to find ways for teens to make money. Simply be resourceful, diligent and creative. As long as you have the drive to succeed, nothing will stop you from achieving your goals.
