Weight Loss: Think Thin, Be Healthy; EFT Can Help

al of Public Health, researchers found that people felt healthier if they were satisfied with their weight; and, the more dissatisfied they felt, the less healthy they felt – no matter how much they weighed. But how important is it that we “feel” healthy; and how can we change the way we think and feel?

Your thoughts trigger your brain to release electrical and chemical signals to the rest of your body’s systems; these signals, and the subsequent change in your body chemistry, determine your emotional state – and how you “feel.” These are also the signals that guide your body’s cells as they replicate and reshape themselves – ultimately reshaping you, your body, and your life.
Basically, if you think stressful thoughts, your body releases stress-hormones; and, if you think happy thoughts, your body releases “happy-hormones.” The “happy-hormones” are the ones that make us feel good and heal well; while the stress hormones are responsible for unwanted weight gain and retention, and up to 90% of all trips to the doctor’s office, according to the American Psychological Association (APA).
Thinking that you are overweight is a stressful thought that will lead to depression, weight gain, and a host of other problems your stress response can cause you to experience – if it’s working properly, that is. That’s right; weight gain is a necessary and beneficial part of your body’s stress response. If you gain weight when you’re stressed, your body’s working properly; the real problem has always been not having an easy way to stop the stressful thoughts and feelings. But now there is – with EFT.
It takes a lot of self-control, or mental discipline, to reshape your negative thoughts into positive thoughts; but, until you do, you will be experiencing stress – the effects of the negative chemistry created by your negative thinking. It’s natural; and it has to work this way. Now, however, using new tools and techniques, you can work around your own systems safely, effectively, quickly, and easily – without diets, drugs, or a load of self-control.
You can essentially “disconnect” negative and limiting beliefs and thought patterns quickly and easily using EFT – Emotional Freedom Techniques. EFT was recently popularized by Paul McKenna on his TLC (The Learning Channel) program, “I Can Make You Thin.” McKenna, and others in the field of natural weight-loss, has been helping people create permanent, healthy weight-loss by helping them release their psychological and neurological hold on the negative thinking that can keep your body in a state of stress – and keep you overweight regardless of what “fads” you try, or how many short-term successes you experience.
If you’ve lost weight with a fad diet such as HCG, or the Atkins Plan, the only way to maintain that “success” is to change the underlying reasons – thoughts and beliefs – that led to the behaviors and chemistry that showed-up as excess weight in the first place. Some people have this shift when, after burning-off some pounds, they look in the mirror and say, “Wow! I look great!” If that attitude sticks, so will the weight-loss. But most people don’t change the way they think of themselves; and the weight invariably returns – usually with more in-tow.
Start paying attention to your thoughts; you can hear them as the self-talk in your head. If, no matter what you weigh, you have negative self-talk, you will always be fighting some kind of battle with weight. To change the tone of the self-talk that has caused so many problems in the past, learn EFT and start cleaning house. I’m sure you’ll find that when you get the old “stuff” out of your closet, you’ll also get the “junk” out of your “trunk.” Lose weight now by using EFT to lose the negative patterns that help your body hold on to unwanted pounds and inches.
