Today the century is consist of full fledge of technology, the 360 degree feedback is the powerful gateway because it makes it easy to gather and report the most credulous feedback about important issues that are otherwise hard to quantify. Mostly here it seems that like the other powerful tool, it is the need to be used with care to derive all the benefit, the problems that are arising and mistakes using the 360 feedbacks.

One common reason for the unsuccessful implementation of a 360 degree feedback process is the lack of a clear purpose, the feedback not to address an organizational performance issues or tactical need. Most of the organizations are using the 360 degree system trying to address the specific performance issues and problems, similarly training and performance improvement the consultants in their never ending search for the latest cutting- edge tools.

Second most common mistake when we use it as a substitute, it is the process that enhances for helping people gain a rich, accurate perspective on how others views their management practices, interpersonal style and effectiveness. So the manager can template to use 360 degree feedback to ease a behavior change in poor performer, they may be thinking it can motivate them to improve, based on the feedback they get. Although the feedback delivery from a 360 degree process can stimulate an employee’s self- awareness, it cannot replace direct communication among that employee and his or her manager.
Probably the general mistake that has the serious affect on the communication of feedback is the insufficient communication. it is important that the complete communication with 360 degree feedback, given that some feedback that can be seem threatening, it is important that its purpose be communicated clearly. To avoid that entire problem it is essential that to communicate clearly about confidently issues. Always remember that a theoretically smooth process can degenerate into a big, jumbled mess.

Some others mistakes regarding to the use of the 360 degree feedback, it is probably the multi rater feedback that is based on the idea that the people can feel safe providing the anonymous feedback. One thing that causes the great confusion if you don not make sure people know where the feedback will be used for evaluation or development purpose. In the organizations use 360 degree feedback strictly as a development tool and there are no repercussions for people getting negative feedback.
