What Could be Improved With the Kindle Fire

The Kindle Fire is currently the second best-selling e-reader device. But there are still a few things that could be improved with it.
The Amazon Kindle Fire has seen quite some success in the market for tablet devices, however according to many users, it’s still not the perfect device. A recent survey done by Change Wave research shows that 54 percent of Kindle Fire users were very satisfied with the product, compared to 74 percent of iPad users.
The survey also asked users what they liked the most about their tablet. Given the fact that the Kindle Fire is a low priced device, selling for only $199, the price was the top thing that its users liked about it. The quality of the color screen, overall user friendliness and ease of use as well as the wide selection of eBooks available in the Amazon Kindle store were the main points that users reported liking about the device.
Amazon has put a lot of effort into developing its library of downloadable books for the Kindle e-reader. Users can access different kinds of books, such as self-published erotic books and other fiction stories directly from the device, without needing to transfer files from a computer. It has also been reported that Amazon is selling the Kindle Fire at a loss, hoping to make up for the low price by attracting people to its content library.
However experts believe that Amazon could make even more money from the Kindle Fire if they made some simple improvements to their tablet in the next edition. There are rumors that such a device is already undergoing development and testing. According to data collected from the survey, some of the things that users would want improved on the Kindle Fire are: adding a dedicated button that controls audio volume, a built in camera, improved battery life, as well as 3G cellular connectivity in addition to the current Wi-Fi. It’s not yet known how many of these features are going to be incorporated into the next release of the Kindle Fire.
As far as content sales go, Amazon seems to be doing well in this area. The survey indicates that 29 percent of Kindle Fire owners plan to spend more money on Amazon’s online book store and content marketplace in the next 3 months. By increasing the availability of multimedia content for the device, such as by including video streams or movie downloads, Amazon can capitalize from a group of consumers that are already interested in buying content from them directly onto their Kindle devices.
