What do you choose for yourself today?
The Definition of Choice is: the cognitive process of making a decision. Freedictionary.com
Making choices can be difficult for some people. Maybe because we have so many options open to us all in this day and age and many of us fear not making the right decision. Most people know that it is through the choices that we make in the now they manifest and determine our future. That can seem quite overwhelming for many of us, me included.
I have always been very indecisive at times, but when I make up my mind to do something I do all in my power to complete that task, to my peril at times but also to my advantage. I go with my gut instinct as much as I can because then I am always in the knowing that I am making the choices that feel right for me. I have learned to trust that my internal spirit will guide me, especially through the tough times. It is comforting to know that I have a helping hand when I need it most.
When we make the right choices for us it helps us to grow spiritually.
Looking back on my past I have realized that it is when I have went against what my intuition has told me to do as my ego took centre stage and I chose to go ahead when actually I should have retracted. These times were not a total waste of my precious time, they were all part of my journey through life and I have learned as much from the mistakes that I have made tha
I have learned from the successes.
“It is fine to make mistakes, once we learn from them and don’t keep repeating them”. This is something my parents told me as I was growing up, they would always forgive me the first time I did something wrong but if I kept repeating the same mistakes over and again well then I needed them the intervene and guide me.
Why do we fear making choices?
Is it because through our choices change occurs? Change can be something to fear for so many, because on many occasions it cannot be fully controlled. It is human nature for us to want to control everything because we want to protect ourselves, and those we love, from being hurt. It is not a bad trait but it can block a lot of goodness from finding us.
I have often experienced difficulties in making decisions especially when my choices affect others. Any choice that I make directly affects those closest to me. I have however come to a solution for me. I now trust in my instinct to guide me. My reasoning for this is because by allowing my spirit to help me make the decision that it right for me then I am keeping myself on track. When I am on my right path for me then those closest to me benefit because I am able to provide them with the best of me.
Empowering Choices
We make conscious and unconscious choices all of the time. When we choose to navigate ourselves towards positivity then we can often discover that we are empowering ourselves.
An example of this is, every morning at adoptamum.com we are given the opportunity to express what we choose for ourselves today. In my experience this small yet powerful technique is very successful in facilitating a positive mindset that grows throughout the day. When we start our day off on the right note it is easier to maintain a happier attitude to life and if we are all truly honest with ourselves, happiness is what we are all striving towards in life. Simplicity is bliss, empowerment helps us grow.
Difficult choicesr
Often when we are faced with making difficult decisions many of us really don’t want the responsibility, this is only natural because if we were to make a choice and the outcome was not the most positive one, well then we will be to blame. Many people avoid taking risks which insures that they are never held accountable for any wrong decisions. However, it is alright to make the wrong decisions sometimes as it helps us to learn valuable lessons and ensures that we keep growing.
In those times when we experience difficulty making choices, I would suggest that you find a quiet space, relax, close your eyes and allow yourself to listen to what your instinct is trying to tell you. What outcome can you honestly say that you could live with? Our inner spirit is there to guide us when we face difficulties in life.
When we allow ourselves to trust in the universe, from the greatest despair can come the greatest gift.

Every day is a new beginning and when we choose to begin our day by making the choice to have a more positive attitude then we are giving ourselves and those closest to us the best start to every day.
"Just because I laugh a lot, doesn't mean my life is easy. Just because I have a smile on my face every day, doesn't mean that something is not bothering me. I just choose to move on, and not dwell on all the negatives in my life. Every new moment gives me the chance to renew anew. I choose to be that." -- Author Unknown

BeSimply…Autumn Skye Morrison
“She” arrived at a small boutique in the lower Gibson’s, located on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia. It was a cool and crisp evening and the sun was beginning to set. The store, Costal Creativity, welcomed “She” and “He” in and presented itself as a playful stage for the creations of local artists. As “She” entered, a large tree like structure filled with these expressive hats captured her attention. The variety of textures and colors created a canopy of fanciful head adornments. “She” intently studied each hat, wondering which one would come home with her someday.r
